Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I choose a time for a medicine to be filled and it's never ready at that time, they hardly ever have the drive thru window open. One of them flung my medicine on the counter and said "there you go" and didn't say you're welcome when I said thank you.

Absolute worst pharmacy. I have used the Kroger pharmacy for 15/+ years, but I'm done. Staff moves with zero sense of urgency, even when the line is 10 people deep and when you get to the desk, there is only a 40% chance they have your prescription ready, even though you've received a notification that it is ready. My son's latest prescription was called in 6 days ago and before going I called ahead to check that it was ready. When I went to pick it up, I was told it wasn't ready and would be at least another hour, which conveniently would be right about when they are closed for lunch. When I questioned why it wasn't ready, I was told it was still in process because they prioritize medications for people waiting in the store, antibiotics and life-threatening conditions first. Ok, fine I get that for for the life-threatening conditions and antibiotics, but for 6 days??? My son has twice missed taking his medication before school because the prescription was not ready and I'm requesting it it a week in advance.

Slow. Line is always crazy long. Drive through almost always closed. Can hardly get anyone to answer the phone. They had 4 hours to fill my daughter’s prescriptions yesterday and still didn’t fill them by the time the pharmacy closed, as promised. When I spoke to a manager they said they can’t find any help because the other pharmacies are paying more. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but, maybe pay more then! I think they’re just being cheap and trying to still use Covid as an excuse to not have any staff and overwork the ones they do have.
