I had a good visit today at LensCrafters. Both the doctor, Ellen Larsen OD, and Ryan, the associate that helped me pick out. my glasses were phenomenal. Ryan helped me pick out the best pair of glasses for my face and explained the whole process along the way. Great job LensCrafters!!

Okay I do apologize now for my long post.
I had a really good experience at the Lancaster Ohio location today. Unlike the Heath Ohio location which almost made me go elsewhere. But I'm glad I gave Lens Crafters another chance. I don't remember the eye doctors name she was a young woman. She took the time to listen, ask me what brought me in today for my exam and explained things thoroughly. She even addressed my dry eye issues and explained what was causing it, unlike other eye doctors in the past. Who only said to keep using eyes drops if my eyes are dry. This doctor actually explained to me that we not only have tear ducts in which tears only half help to keep the eye lubricated. We also have a bunch of tiny glands that line the top and bottom eye lids along the eye lashes that make oil to help your tears from drying out to fast and to help make the tears stick to the eyes. The doctor told me which eye drops were the best to use and to stay away from visine because visine doesn't help the eyes it actually makes them worse. I was also informed that I didn't have to purchase a new pair of frames since I like my current frames so well and they could put my new lenses in the current frames. I have really good eye insurance that covers most of the cost so I wanted new frames. I went out to find a pair of frames and was met by Esther who assisted me with finding the right pair of glasses that I would love as much as my current pair. She went a head and picked out 2 pairs while I was getting my eye exam done for me to look at. The first pair I liked as soon as I put them on. I tried a few different ones but I really like the pair that Esther had pick out for me. I didn't realize it was the same pair that I virtually tried on on the website. Esther explained to me the reason why she picked that pair was because she thought the color of the glasses went well with the color of my hair and skin tone also they were similar to my current frames. I was really impressed with her reason why she put so much thought into choosing a pair of glasses to compliment the customer. She then not only took measurements, but she sized the glasses and fitted them to my actual face structure. She also helped to adjust my current glasses and fit them to my face. The way it should have been done 2 years ago when I got them from another place. Esther also showed me the whole work up of all the add ons that I could get with my glasses along with the price. She explained in detail what each thing was and let me choose what I wanted to add, such as premium anti reflective and scratch resistant, u v protection, blue filter and others. They also offer a warranty on the glasses. My total price was $295.90 and after my insurance I literally paid $25.00 and that's with purchasing progressive lenses. Esther said that was a really great deal that my insurance covered most of the price for my new glasses. I have to agree. So after this very long post I am very happy that I chose
to go to lenscrafters to get my new pair of glasses.

Esther and Ryan are the greatest opticians of all time. They took care of ol’ John in his time of need. Much better than other Lenscrafters I’ve been to

Visited the Lancaster Ohio LensCrafters location in the mail and was greeted by Ryan. Ryan was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable about the services offered by LensCrafters. Excellent experience and I would certainly shop at their store in the future.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
