I don't remember the Doctors name but it was a young woman. She was excellent. I went to the Lenscrafters Lancaster Ohio location. She was very thorough with my examination. And then explain things to me when I had questions. The one thing that really impressed me was the fact that she explained my dry eye issue and why I have that issue. She actually looked at the glands in my eye lids and seeing that they were pretty clogged, and explain to me that's the reason why I have dry eyes, because those glands produces oils that helps the tears stick and stay in the eye. Other eye places that I've been to asked me if I use eye drops. I replied, yes, and they say, good, just continue to use them. This doctor that I seen yesterday actually explained the difference between a good eye drop and a not so good eye drop. Come to find out vizine that I have used for years is not a good eye drop to be using, it actually makes the condition worse. She also explained if I use a warm compress over my eyes for ten minutes a night that will help unclog my glands and that should help with the dry eye issues. She also explained my exam, how my eyes were actually really good. The only slightly changed prescription wise, and with that being said that it was my choice. If I wanted to do a yearly eye exam, or every two years. She also informed me that if I didn't find a frame that I liked that I could use my current frames, and they could put my new prescription lenses in those. I was kinda blown away by that. Because everywhere else I went I asked if I could use my frames and just get new lenses. I was always told no I had to purchase new frames.
That is one of the reasons why I haven't gotten new glasses is because nobody has the frames that I liked. So I just kept my old prescription glasses. I also really love the fact that I wasn't forced to have my eyes dilated. I was always told you had to have your eyes dilated each time you had an exam. This doctor told me unless she found something really concerning there was no need to have my eyes dilated. She did say I'll
eventually have to have my eyes dilated like maybe in 5 years, but i'm okay with that. I will definitely continue going back to this location if each visit turns out the way yesterday did.

My exam was quick and effortless, scheduling was in same week. Esther was my salesperson and she was phenomenal. The best experience I’ve had picking out glasses which I hate. She also found the best possible deal tailored to me and my insurance plan. She knew her stuff about all the brands and frames and helped me find the best type/brand of frame for my lifestyle and color/size match for my face. Another customer also said she was the best while I was wrapping up with her. She deserves a raise!
