Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

The managing pharmacist Stephanie (Stevi) Van Houten thinks she has a right to question patients about what medical issue they have to justify why they were prescribed medication at the ER and takes it upon herself to cancel prescriptions at her discretion..the store manager has no power or control over her...and told us that she has had other issues with canceling prescriptions and professionalism..1800 Kroger doesn't deal with pharmacy issues..and the store manger says she cant tell anyone her boss' name..she denied medication and canceled a needed prescription for my daughter from Miami Valley South ER from a 4/19/26 visit..it was put on hold intil she could speak to my daughter..she questioned my daughter extensively about her medical conditions on the phone on 4/20 then refused it..this led to a second ER trip that night where the medication was resent..THOUSANDS of dollars in insurance money wasted because this chick has a ego problem..12 tablets..12 is going to cost them thousands in revenue because my daughter is taking her other 16 prescriptions and I'm taking my 8 prescriptions across the street to Walgreens..I have filed a complaint with the state board of pharmacy..STAY AWAY..Kroger should be ashamed of themselves for protecting this lady

If I could give 0 starts I would. lines are always super long they never can get meds done on time. I recently had a problem with my medication due to insurance codes they didn't have they advised me to call my insurance to get it fixed. I called insurance was in the phone over an hour and they called the pharmacy to help them get the right codes the pharmacist flat out told the lady from the insurance that she doesn't know how to do what the lady told her to do and hung up on her. Then when insurance lady called back kept getting hung up on by said pharmacist. Then I called to get medicine transferred to another pharmacy because they have been so incompetent lately when receiving pharmacy called to transfer over my prescription the lady pharmacist said I didn't have any one file after calling and talking to a man named Matt the prescriptions got transferred. It is one thing to hang up on customers but to hang up on insurance reps because you can't do your job right is unacceptable. Not only do we wait 20 minutes in line for meds that are not ready but the unprofessionalism is getting out of control. Then to lie about medicine scripts to another pharmacy this place is getting worse and worse

Never an issue on any medication that my daughter gets prescribed. Even when no one else around has it in stock. My go to pharmacy, no matter the distance.

The line is always 10+ customers long no matter what time/day I go (I wish I was exaggerating). I had to stop having meds filled here because it consistently takes over 30 min to pick up. Icing on the cake: Today a pharmacy staff member was chatting with a customer for 5+ min after completing his order (a customer who was not wearing a mask in the crowded store despite a mask policy) with a line of 12 people deep.
