Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Megan and Tami at Kroger Pharmacy are absolutely wonderful! They are always so sweet, caring, and helpful every time I come in. They go above and beyond to make sure customers feel welcomed and taken care of, and they always treat everyone with kindness and respect. Their positive attitudes and genuine compassion make a huge difference. Kroger Pharmacy is lucky to have such an amazing team. Thank you, Megan and Tami, for all that you do! ❤️

This pharmacy hardly serve prescription same day. It has always been “4pm the next day”. Drive through service is below expectation.

Very disappointed with the decline of this pharmacy. Last month I received half of the amount of pills indicated in the bottle. Half. I called and to my surprise I heard the conversation in the background with the pharmacist saying, "Probably, just have her come get the other half".??? They're clearly not taking inventory and are always in such a hurry, they barely allow you to finish your sentence when you call with a question. Maybe overworked/short staffed, but regardless a little alarming. I ended up transferring my Rx's after being a very loyal customer for over 20yrs. (This was one of many issues I've had, I could go on..)

They never have my fiancé’s script ready when he needs it, and they either don’t answer the phone at all or it takes them forever to answer and they seem to be rushing to get off the phone. I understand they’re busy, but when you choose to work in a healthcare field you have a responsibility to your patients to educate them and answer their questions. They need way more staff and maybe better organization for their medication so they’re actually done when needed. Oh, and they lost his prescription and are trying to say he doesn’t have any refills when he just had a new script a month ago with one refill.
