  Late last summer I was so excited to make approximately $7,000 purchase a set of PHONAK hearing aids at the AudioNova location in Ashland, Ohio. Dr Orion retested my hearing, programmed, and fitted the PHONAK hearing aids. Dr. Orion was truly OUTSTANDING - A 5 STAR provider. Shortly after the purchase I relocated to Brunswick, GA and met with Dr. Jessica Hanley who has assisted me in sending a PHONAK hearing aid back for repairs - the ear mold separated from the hearing aid. Not a good sign when very expensive hearing aid fall apart shortly after purchase. Dr. Hanley was OUTSTANDINGLY - efficient, and so helpful in every way - another 5 STAR provider. Two weeks ago, after traveling back to Ohio to present a two day workshop to over 80 participants - once again one of my PHONAK hearing aid separated from the mold. I was already forced to operate on just one hearing aid because the second PHONAK could only produce a scratchy, inaudible sound. Now BOTH PHONAK hearing aids were failing and of no use. With one day available prior to my presentation date - I called to beg for an appointment at AudioNova Offices. I was desperate! I called Dr.Heather Vaught at the Delaware (Ohio) AudioNova Office and she agreed to meet with me anytime - NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED, JUST SHOW UP! After a drive and a half hour visit, she made arrangements to send one of my PHONAK hearing aids back for repairs (THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS AID HAS BEEN SENT BACK). Dr. Vaught addressed the humidity in the second aid - repaired and she fitted me with a temporary hearing aid in the other ear. AND THANKS TO DR. VAUGHT, I walked out of her office with two working hearing aids. I was soo happy with Dr. Vaught, that I immediately went out, bought her a large bag of chocolate and returned to show my deep appreciation to her!! The following days my presentations went great, thanks largely in part to DrVaught!! All three AudioNova Offices have provided Awesome 5 STAR service!! The AudioNova service providers in all three locations has been amazing! However - my experience with PHONAK hearing aids has been a COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT - THREE RETURNS FOR REPAIRS IN THE FIRST YEAR ON aids costing nearly $7,000! I’ve worn hearing aids for 40 years and twice during all those years, I’ve needed factory repairs! I’m worried sick about the future dependability of PHONAK hearing aids. I will always travel with a back up set of exceptionally reliable STARKY HEARING AIDS as a result. Your service providers could not be any better, however your choice of hearing aid products appears to be a very disappointing and a very poor choice. Disappointed, Davis Baker

  The technology that Heather and her team uses to detect the many forms of hearing loss is nothing short of amazing. They also worked closely with my insurance. I highly recommend AudioNova.
