The doctor is amazing, I love her. She's the only reason I still go to that store. However I had an interaction with the glasses salesperson that not only left me scratching my head in confusion, but found me leaving the store without buying any glasses. I was not able to get a clear answer on what her problem was with me. Even though I asked her several times what was upsetting her. By the time her boss interfered I knew I was not buying glasses there. I didn't even get her name she did not introduce herself. When her boss told me I had to wait longer for her to come and help me I left the store. I won't be buying glasses there ever again. But I still like Jodi Matthews and I will be going back to see her. But the fact is I really needed new glasses as soon as possible and but this was terrible customer service. Her boss didn't even speak to me directly.

The Good: The eye doctor here was absolutely fantastic—kind, thorough, and awesome to deal with. The medical side of the exam was a great experience, and I paid my co-pay happily.
The Bad: The second the medical exam ended, hell began. I was immediately handed off to a high-pressure sales rep named V on the retail floor. Right at the start, she told me to think of their department as "totally separate from the rest of the store, like a pharmacy." But a pharmacy doesn't hide the prices on the frames, stack your lenses with expensive luxury upgrades without asking, and wait until the absolute last second to drop a shocking $999 total retail price on you ($360 out of pocket with insurance) for a basic pair of glasses.
When I explicitly asked if there were any cheaper options, she flat out lied and told me no—claiming that the prices are all going to be the same there and anywhere else.
To top it off, they kept my physical prescription mixed in with their sales paperwork when I walked out instead of automatically handing it to me.
Bottom Line: Go here for the doctor, but guard your wallet the second you step onto the sales floor. Don't let them "honey-pot" you into an insane markup. Ask for your paper prescription immediately and buy online for a fraction of the cost.

(May 31, 2026) Very disappointing experience. I scheduled a same-day appointment for 11:40 AM and later changed it to 11:00 AM. Just before leaving, I received a text with paperwork that needed to be completed. Since I was already driving, I called to confirm they were open on Sunday and explained I would complete the forms when I arrived. The staff member agreed.
A few minutes later, another employee called and insisted I complete the paperwork before entering. I arrived at 10:58 AM, completed the forms by 11:04 AM, and walked in at 11:06 AM after getting my daughter out of the car. Despite following their instructions, I was told I could not be seen because I was "late."
What was most frustrating was the lack of professionalism and willingness to listen. The paperwork link was sent at the last minute, I followed the directions I was given, and I was only a few minutes past the appointment time. Instead of trying to help, the staff was rude and repeatedly pushed to reschedule. Overall, a very frustrating experience and poor customer service.
