Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Horrible location. They don't know what they are doing. I called, my medication was supposed to be filled in 30 minutes. I went in they said it was set for the next day they would fix it and fill it come back in 30 minutes. I waited a hour went back and they said the exact same thing. Ridiculous!

I went in today to pick up a refill for my prescription. I ordered the refill and chose the correct dosage online using the Kroger app. I was given my medication in a bag with the receipt at the pharmacy counter after paying my copay. I did a little shopping at the store before heading home. When I arrived home, I realized I was given the incorrect dose!!! I immediately called and asked to return it fully expecting an apology. Instead the “pharmacist on duty” yelled and asked why I hadn’t returned sooner as an hour had already passed!!! She BLAMED me for their error. Unbelievable!!! She then placed me on hold for an extended period of time. She returned and informed me that she had “called” Optum (prescription insurance), and they refused to override so that she could replace it with the correct dose. She said I’d have to wait 30 days to get it refilled!!! I called Optum myself. Optum representative informed me that no one at Kroger Pharmacy had called them or else it would have been overrode and corrected. Optum apologized and was super courteous to me. I will be contacting Kroger Corporate.

I needed to change my pharmacy from Meijer to ANYWHERE other than Meijer. They were extremely helpful to me, but after reading reviews for a Kroger (although I delt with the Grove City Hoover/665 local) It looks like a lot of pharmacies are having issues. It sounds like a lot of not enough employees that know what they are doing. I'm thinking I may be finding a Mail order pharmacy. You all have me scared now lol. Seriously tho they were very nice and helpful to me and I'm going to LOVE going through their Drive thru in my PJs (doing a happy dance over here) I hope it gets better for everyone and you all have a Blessed Day!

Staff can be extremely rude and they do not communicate very well. They never have anything ready when quoted and they are medications are constantly delayed for one reason or another. The drive through is also terrible and they can't fit anything in the bank tube. Why have a drive through then?

Very nice and respectful people, I switched to Georgesville Kroger Pharmacy from the Galloway Kroger Pharmacy because of the Argumentative & Disrespectful tone that you were treated with there.. The folks at Georgesville Kroger Pharmacy go out their way to help and answer any and all questions you might have..
