Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

The pharmacists are always rude as hell when you call. They aren’t helpful and they offer no grace when “looking” into situations. I was told repeatedly with attitude I didn’t have a refill in and had to wait for the doctor. So I called my doctor and they said the refills were submitted already. So I called back and got a different woman who said she didn’t know why the previous one said what she said. This is the second time this exact situation happened. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the Second Lady filled my script, but she was rude too. Do better Kroger

We went to pickup a prescription to my husband and when we get there they’ve said there was no prescription sent to them. Then another girl there went and found the prescription and told us to go next day. Next day we get there and the person says there’s a co-payment of $150. I called the primary care to see what that was about and they were going to call back to clear things up. We went home then 20 minutes later we get a text that the co-payment was $30 and it was ready. We went back there and the person said that it couldn’t find before the insurance information which I find hard to believe because we picked up prescriptions there before and the retail price for the pills were almost $500 so if there was no insurance how can someone explain that there was first a co-payment of $150 and then later it got lowered to $30? I would love to have a good answer on this.

Although this not the most proficient place on the planet and I've had 1 issue a while back and it worked itself out. I'm not the type to hold a grudge lol we were both prolly having a bad day and it happens..I've been going g here a very long time I think since about 2018 Ppl are just ppl I get it that working at a pharmacy would about drive ya crazy 🤣 with all the moving parts. They are mostly friendly when I talk to them or im picking up a medication only thing I've noticed is when I call in a medication and there's a few of them. They should tell me right then and there if they have it or not and this happens a lot when my health aid picked them up and I'm expecting a certain one its not there ! I should get a quick call or be told it needs a refill from the Dr or they don't have it. Sometimes this happens and then im aggravated lol I try and keep my meds grouped together so I'm not running back and forth. Other than that it's ok and I try and talk to Dan! Lol he knows his stuff! Dan the man ! Ha!
