  My wife received crown preparation treatment at MK Dental Excellence. Approximately two weeks after the preparation, she was contacted by the office and scheduled to have the permanent crown placed. That appointment took place on April 13. Roughly three weeks after the permanent crown was placed, my wife experienced significant facial swelling and returned to the dental office. At that time, we were informed that she now requires a root canal for the same tooth that was treated with the crown. Despite the fact that this complication occurred shortly after the crown placement, MK Dental Excellence has stated that they intend to charge us the full price for the root canal procedure. The only accommodation offered was a 5% discount, and only if we pay the full amount up front. We have spent approximately $10,000 on dental services with MK Dental Excellence, and we feel it is unreasonable and unacceptable to be charged the full cost for a root canal that became necessary so soon after a crown procedure on the same tooth. Given the timing and circumstances, we believe the dental office should take responsibility for at least a portion of the cost of the corrective treatment.

  TMJ treatment was amazing. Staff is friendly. I always get in so quickly. I’ve been seeing Dr K since I was a kid. Dr A at the office is amazing too. He is great with my children and he always makes me feel at ease.

  I had a very disappointing experience at MK Dental Services on Montgomery Road. My appointment was for 3:30 PM, and I arrived at 3:00 PM. I filled out my paperwork and still was not seen until after 4:00 PM. I was patient, but the treatment I received was unacceptable. The assistant who first attended to me was unprofessional. It was not even clear who he was, and I had to ask whether he was the doctor or the dental assistant. During the cleaning, he was extremely rough. I get regular dental cleanings and have had X-rays many times before, but I have never experienced anything like this. I came home with bruises in my mouth. Even the suction tool was used so roughly that it hit my teeth. What made the experience worse was the lack of communication. After the initial part of the cleaning, the staff disappeared without explaining anything. Then another woman came in and said she was there to polish my teeth, with no explanation at all. If multiple people are involved in a patient’s care, that should be clearly communicated. Instead, the whole experience felt disorganized and careless. There was no reassurance, no professionalism, and no effort to make sure I was okay. I drove 20 minutes for this appointment and left feeling upset, disappointed, and poorly treated. This was one of the worst dental experiences I have had, and I would not recommend this office.

My appointment was for 3:30 PM, I arrived at 3:00 PM, filled out my forms, and still was not seen until after 4:00 PM. The assistant was rough and unprofessional, and I came home with bruises in my mouth. I get regular cleanings and have never experienced anything like this before.
