Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Writing this post about the pharmacy. I would like to start by saying I have never had a problem with the men in the pharmacy that I see on rare occasions However, I have worked 15 years in customer service and the WOMEN who work the pharmacy are some of the rudest, classless, feral people I’ve ever interacted with. No hello, no goodbye. They seem annoyed to even have to be at work every single time. Careless, and heartless. Literally every single time I’m there, every two weeks, it’s a different female worker with the same crappy attitude. They work in medicine. I pull up with my card and ID ready. With my birthday. With everything they could possibly need to avoid mishaps or time delays. And can even get a “hi how are you today” Just the rudest people I’ve ever met and this is spanning over the last two years. It’s disgusting that Kroger lets people like these be the faces and embassadors of their organization, not to mention, their HEALTH organization. If that had been me at any job I’d be fired. But they get an excuse because it’s medical, and not customer service. That doesn’t mean they get to take their crappy days and lives out on us. I get attitude every time I ask a simple question. I write this at the risk of sounding like a Karen. But I assure you, as a customer service professional in my field, I would never treat any customer like this, let alone a medical patient. This store needs to reconsider their employee code of conduct or at least enforce it better. I hate to say it, but I hope they all get what they deserve. If they can’t be bothered to be concerned about their customers well being, then I hope others put that same energy into them when they need it. Again, if I had not had the same issue every week or every two weeks for over two years I wouldn’t be writing this. But this seems like a problem that persists regardless of who works there.

Prescriptions are NEVER ready. They told us come back in 15 minutes, just to be closed. It’s EVERY TIME it’s time to pick up my daughter’s medicine.

Always helpful and accommodating. The drive through does get backed up a bit at times but I understand, the customers inside are the priority.

I've never been to a kroger pharmacy that takes so long to serve customers. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what, but you cam expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour before you even get to the front of the line

Being able to wait for a prescription is a great idea. Unless one lane is closed. It's quicker to go in when only one la e is open. There should be rules in place that id only one lane is open anyone waiting to be filled has to come in. Have been in line for 28 minutes with only two cars ahead of me. Terrible service.
