Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

The pharmacy manager there named Jordan. He is a terrible person. He had a personal relationship with someone at another pharmacy. Then he didn’t want to talk to said individual instead of being mature and saying sorry I don’t wanna talk anyone he called this persons job and told the manger to pass along that message and that idiotic manager passed it through cooperate. It was a mess. Heart bleeds for that individual.

My pharmacy acts like a narcissist. They can never admit to being wrong, everything they do has to be okay because they're doing it, and no matter how absurd they are, I'm always overreacting. I've been buying meds here for as long as I can remember. My doctor called in a prescription today that was slightly different than what I've been using for several years. I received a text stating that they had none and that I should call in. I spoke with Nikki who told me they were out. I asked about alternatives and she refused to tell me what was in stock. As this medication has been scarce for several months now, I wanted to inform my doctor of what was available. Nikki refused to tell me. Is it too much for them to understand that I'm about to run out of a necessary medication and if I can't tell my doctor what's available it could take several days of phone calls and spitballing before we finally land on a med that's in stock? Why not tell me? Why can't I be trusted with this information? Nikki never explained any of these questions to me and when I apparently raised my voice while incredulously asking she responded saying "if you continue to raise your voice I'm going to release the call", and then she released the call immediately, and before I could reply. I called back and after waiting several minutes on hold I was asked if I wanted a call back. Joelle called and just continued to insist that I can't be trusted with the knowledge I was asking for. She asked that I stop saying it's a big secret, but it's apparently a big secret regardless of the gaslighting. Update: I called Walgreens and asked if they'd refuse to tell me what's available should they be out of a medicine and was told they would not. I transferred my prescriptions but kroger only included prescriptions that were due, and left out any that had refills remaining that weren't due, which will cause me to have to ask my doctor to call in new prescriptions for those. I'm changing my review from 2 stars to 1 because of it.
