Refuge Counseling Akron

A Haven for Difficult Conversations It is our mission to validate and normalize difficult conversations. We seek to companion, not treat, the difficult adjustments that life brings. We provide counseling services on a wide range of mental health-related services. We also specialize in grief support, chronic illness, and sex therapy. Refuge is sex-positive, LGBTQIA affirming, and a safe place to navigate any transition. Refuge counseling also provides grief counseling training, webinars, groups, and a wide range of other resources for both CEUs and for general interest. Refuge seeks to be a hospitable place for counselor trainees and other counselors to obtain consultation and supervision.
