The doctor here has no compassion and just putting you down, when I went out to look at glasses they just want to sell you on ANYTHING and truly act very fake and inconsiderate. You’re better off going to an actual eye doctor in a medical building. Sarcastic commentary was not appreciated.

I am still waiting after several weeks to hear back from owner/lenscrafters.
I do have insurance, although it doesn’t cover LensCrafters or this specific doctor. That said, I didn’t mind paying out of pocket because I had always felt comfortable with the doctor and the service at LensCrafters Richmond Hill—until today.
I went in for my annual eye exam and was initially charged $69 at checkout. During the process, the associate repeatedly tried to upsell me—whether it was lenses, a payment plan, or other add-ons. When he realized I was only paying $69, he told me I also had to pay an additional $60 for a contact lens fitting.
The issue is, I did not receive a contact lens fitting. My prescription has not changed, and when I questioned the charge, I was told that the doctor would withhold my prescription unless I paid the additional fee.
Charging me $60 for a service I did not receive—and implying my prescription would be withheld—is completely unacceptable. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning to this location.

If I can give them no stars I would!
This LensCrafters is horrible!
When I picked up my glasses, I was NOT given my RayBan’s authenticity card or a case. After I asked about them the associate Sam told me RayBan never had authenticity cards (Lie number 1). Then he said maybe the optician threw them out because customers don’t want them. This is a choice for the customer to make and not the optician. I told him that I would like my card because it has my name and prescription on it. He proceeded to say that if I wanted an authenticity card I would have to re-order my glasses. So he said he would place a new order for me (Lie number 2). When I didn’t get a confirmation email receipt, I called the store and another associate said there was NO order placed. I have been going to LensCrafters for almost a decade and never in the three other LensCrafters, did I ever have this problem of being lied to! Sam and Cortney the manager are bad for the brand and I will not be going back to LensCrafters again.

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
