Sad as this can be the homes that are private pay do not have the resources needed to care for the individual. Even if you are well off they don’t cover equipment or mefical supplies As a daughter a spent down is way better then paying a company with some reliable individuals caring for our parents. Can only afford limited hours because private oay is expensive got a spend down paid 400 a month and got 30 hours. So think twice before private pay takes over your sabings

Above all, the companion was so well matched to my family member. We had difficulty communicating with him due to dementia and our companion took the time to help him find the words.
