General surgery focuses on procedures including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. Surgeons may also address issues involving the skin, breast, soft tissue, and hernias. Whenever possible, general surgeons offer a minimally invasive approach, which means less discomfort as well as faster recovery times. Saratoga Hospital provides surgical services at two locations: Inpatient and outpatient procedures are performed on the main campus, and outpatient procedures are performed at Saratoga Surgery Center on the Wilton campus.
