Our Medicine in Psychiatry Service (MIPS) provides primary medical care services to adults ages 18 and up who may also be receiving mental health and/or substance abuse services within our health system. Our MIPS program also includes a 20-bed Inpatient Medicine in Psychiatry Unit (IMIP), unique to the Rochester region (referral required for admission). Here, patients receive combined medical and mental health care during serious health difficulties that require hospitalization.
