  If I could give this place a 0 I would. Came in feeling faint and nauseous…ambulance brang me in and they kept me in the ER for over 40 min with no check in… when a nurse walked in to tell me to put on a gown I told her to please test my sugar or give me a IV she said doctor will be with you and just walked out.. I asked to be discharged and was told I could just leave.. I said ok and can you believe one of the staff said “have a nice day” I literally fell to the floor.. someone picked me up asked if I was ok and then. Just walked away… I swear I can’t make this up! Got in a cab.. drank lots of Gatorade and preety much took care of myself

  My elderly aunt received excellent care here. I visited her in ICU and the nursing care was unlike any other hospital I have visited. They cared about her comfort, even bought her a Coke from the vending machine when she asked for one. The doctors involved her in her treatment plan and spoke to her respectfully. Even the guy who mopped the floor was kind and checked on our family. Everyone really practiced the delivery of excellent care and my family is grateful.

  My grandfather spent several weeks at this facility, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Throughout his stay, we received very little communication, had unanswered questions, and saw no meaningful improvement in his condition. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility to other families seeking care for their loved ones. There are many other hospitals on Long Island that prioritize patient care, communication, and the well-being of their patients. If you are choosing a facility for someone you love, I strongly encourage you to research your options carefully and consider other hospitals before making your decision.

  I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital for the exceptional care I received throughout my surgical journey. A very special thank you to Dr. Dante Leven for his expertise, professionalism, compassion, and dedication to my care. I am truly grateful to have been in such capable hands. I would also like to recognize and sincerely thank all of the nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, and unit clerks who cared for me throughout both the perioperative and postoperative units. Every person I encountered contributed to making my experience as comfortable, safe, and reassuring as possible. Special thank you and two thumbs up to Sally, Jacqui and Kristen!!!! Your kindness, patience, professionalism, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. During a time that can be stressful and frightening for a patient, your support and compassion made a tremendous difference. Thank you to the entire team at Mount Sinai South Nassau for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to your patients. I am incredibly grateful for everything you have done for me and will always remember the excellent care I received. Great hospital, great team work!!!   magine being in a care accident and having to wait 4 hours to be acknowledged or seen. My worst mistake was slowing EMT to take me to this hospital. the staff is absolutely horrible and don't care about you being in pain. EMT told staff that I needed a wheel chair, and it never arrived. their only answer is to wait for a nurse and the nurse never arrives. the receptionist suggestion "you can leave instead". Why would you trust the doctors to treat you if their staff can't treat you right. I took an uber to NUMC and was giving an X-ray within 30 minutes. I could've been internally bleeding without knowing, I bet if I died waiting in the lobby the staff would not notice.
