I needed care for my Dad, rather last-minute, due to a recent fall & failing health, and I researched quite a few caregiver agencies in NY. Home Instead had excellent reviews (which are very important to me), and of the several companies I reached out to, they responded immediately. I was, and continued to be, incredibly impressed with their awesome response time, follow up, and excellent communication. All the way from my initial questions, to paperwork, meeting with my father, and the caretakers they sent-- their professionalism is stellar!! I was always able to get hold of someone immediately, and at all times of the day, and I live in a 6 hour difference time zone! Their staff is incredible. From their administrative staff, to the caretakers they sent (we had two), they were all so responsive & so kind. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, caring elderly-care agency, with which to entrust the care of your loved one. I am so glad I found them!

Around Christmas, my uncle fell near Rockefeller Center on a Sunday afternoon and refused to go to the ER. We were panicking a bit because he lives alone downtown. The agency arranged for a nurse named Francyne to come to his apartment that same day, and they quickly helped us arrange care at home. The aide they sent was wonderful and incredibly patient with him. One of the biggest things they caught was that my uncle had been mismanaging his medications for a while. Francyne helped organize everything into a system he could actually follow, which made a huge difference. They also helped us realize he had long-term care insurance benefits that we didn’t even know he could use. It’s been about five months now, and honestly he seems healthier, more stable, and much more like himself again. We’re very grateful for the care and responsiveness they showed our family.
