Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone

For pediatric inpatients at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, up to six approved visitors (parents, grandparents, guardians, family care partners, or other support people) are permitted; only two approved visitors may be at the bedside at the same time. At least one support person must be an adult (age 18+). Visitors under age 12 are not permitted (with limited exceptions). For outpatient visits and doctor’s offices, children may be accompanied by two people (at least one adult). For adult inpatients at certain campuses, two visitors are allowed from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and one visitor from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Always check current policies before each visit.

Bring insurance cards, any required referrals or preauthorizations, your insurance copayment, photo identification, your child’s immunization record, any relevant medical records (including allergy lists, completed X-rays, and lab tests), your pediatrician’s contact information, and contact information for your pharmacy. Arrive about 15 minutes before the appointment to complete any paperwork; bring comfort items (toys, books, snacks) for your child as needed.
