Danyal H. Nawabi, MD

Dr. Nawabi is an Orthopedic Surgeon at the Sports Medicine Institute at HSS and Associate Professor of Orthopaedics. He is a specialist in the fields of knee, shoulder, and hip surgery, performing both arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement. He has special expertise in ACL reconstruction of the knee, hip arthroscopy, and robotic-assisted joint replacement in young and active patients. He performs some of the most complex knee reconstructions for sports injuries and failed surgeries, including knee osteotomy, revision ACL reconstruction, multi-ligament repairs, and meniscus and cartilage transplantation. He is a world-renowned academic surgeon with multiple awards and publications in the fields of knee biomechanics and hip preservation.
