This warby parker is the absolute worst. TLDR: the manager does not know how to deescalate a situation and was giving me, the customer, attitude with a raised voice. I brought in a pair of discontinued glasses to get the lens replaced about a month ago and they were lost in transit. Warby Parker didn’t notice that UPS lost them for WEEKS so that by the time they put in a missing package investigation, there was zero chance of finding them. I was told I would receive a free pair of glasses because of what happened and get the lens replacement fee refunded since nothing ever came of the lens replacement. I got new glasses but never got the fee refunded. I just went into the store and spoke to the female manager of this location and she wasn’t listening to what I was saying and I got frustrated because she just kept repeating back to me what she had originally said instead of listening to me and hearing out this unique situation. Eventually she started giving me extreme attitude, making annoyed faces and raising her voice at me and telling me that she does not have to deal with me. When I kept telling her what her colleague told me, that I would get the lens replacement fee refunded, she kept gaslighting me telling me I was wrong and kept just yelling at me saying the same thing over and over again. She is extremely unprofessional. I work with people and whenever someone starts yelling at me, I calmly reassure them and try to deescalate the situation, not make it worse. What kind of manager doesn’t know how to deescalate a situation with a customer? Her attitude made the situation ten times worse. All she had to do was reassure me that even if I was told one thing, this is why the situation plays out as it does, in a calm manner. Not just continue to tell me the same thing over and over again with increasing levels of attitude. I hope warby parker corporate sees this and fires her for her unprofessionalism and attitude toward customers. Other customers were in there as well and were able to see the attitude she was giving me and see how she was raising her voice to a customer instead of being able to deescalate a situation. I’ve been a customer with warby parker since 2020 and they will never see me again. I never write negative reviews unless it is something as atrocious as this. She needs serious customer service training and warby parker needs to figure out how to deal with these situations in a more clear and streamlined manner.
