The sales person and doctors were friendly and fast. They take insurance and there is no pressure to buy anything.

I've been to multiple Warby Parker locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and this particular store is the best I've visited. The staff is so courteous and professional and efficient. You get to see an actual human doctor rather than an appointment with a remote doctor and technician. Even though this location isn't usually convenient for me, my experience was so good I am considering making this store as my preferred Warby Parker location in the future.

Went to Warby Parker today for an eye exam and to buy new glasses and had a terrific experience. Chose the location on the upper west side of Manhattan. The staff was fantastic! The eye exam was easy and thorough and they went out of their way to make sure I got maximum insurance benefits! I planned on getting two pairs of glasses, but got three because they were so reasonable and my insurance pitched in and I got a 20% discount on the second and third pair. All three pairs together came to less than half what I paid the last time I bought one pair! Shout out to Leah, who was my main clerk, so nice, efficient and thorough. Highly recommended!

My first experience with Warby Parker and I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased the Bette sunglasses and then discovered that they kept sliding down my face. Apparently, they were a bit too heavy for my low nose bridge. I went into the store and found a decent selection of sunglasses made for those specifically with low bridge and made an easy exchange for the Nancy sunglasses instead. The latter is lighter and has better support for my Asian face. Appreciated the wide selection and the courteous checkout process. The new Nancy glasses were a bit too wide for me, so they tightened the legs in to fit my face. They’re perfect now.

I have had the displeasure of dealing with Anna twice now, and it’s enough to put me off Warby Parker. The first time was what I thought an innocuous interaction, during which I was supposedly added to the waitlist by her, but after an hour into what should’ve been a 10-minute wait, I asked someone else for help and was told I wasn’t on the waitlist at all. I excused it away as a mystery technical error, but she heard the whole interaction I had with the optometrist and she didn’t acknowledge it or care. She also saw me sitting in the bench for an hour and never bothered to check why I hadn’t been called yet.
I came back in today and was met by Anna again, and she was cold and uncommunicative. She acted as though I was asking for something outrageous by wanting my eyes measured (an extremely normal request at any other optometry office). I then had to ask her if she was done with what she needed from me and if I should go sit/wait for the optometrist, because she had stopped acknowledging that I was standing next to her, and she weirdly and rudely acted like I was insane for not telepathically knowing she was finished and I should go wait somewhere else. I then said her communication was very unclear and she should’ve informed me that I could have a seat or browse while waiting, and she did not apologize for being unclear or give any indication whatsoever that she cared. In fact she just started at me silently without expression.
I informed the manager about my dual negative experiences, and he was polite and understanding. The optometrist was also great and helpful. This is why I’m giving this location 2 stars instead of 1.
