  I had a very disappointing experience with Sterling Optical in Nanuet. The doctor was rude and dismissive to both my daughter and me during the exam. I was willing to overlook that because the exam itself was completed, but unfortunately the customer service afterward was just as bad. We were told my daughter’s glasses were lost by FedEx, which may very well have been true. However, if I hadn’t repeatedly called and stopped into the store myself, I’m not convinced the issue would have even been caught. There was absolutely no sense of urgency in trying to resolve the situation, and despite asking multiple times for the tracking number they claimed was sent, I never received it. I do want to mention that Isla was kind and helpful on the phone and I appreciated her professionalism. Unfortunately, Nick’s attitude was the complete opposite. He came across as rude, arrogant, and dismissive, which made an already frustrating situation even worse. Overall, this experience lacked accountability, communication, and basic customer care. I would not recommend this location and would suggest looking elsewhere for eye care and glasses. Especially if you are looking for a child.

  Don’t waste your time at this location. I spent hundreds on a pair of glasses for my son that he cannot even wear because Nick failed to measure his face to make sure the frames would fit properly. Additionally, the glasses were made with an old prescription due to the office not having an optometrist available to perform the eye exam to see if he needs an updated prescription, which I’m sure he does. To make matters worse, it took more than two weeks for the glasses to arrive at the office for us to pick up. My son broke his old pair of glasses about two weeks before he was leaving town to go away for several months. For this reason it was important we picked them up before he left town. Normally it’d only take a few days for our glasses to come in, but I believe Nick made some kind of mistake with his order. And whenever I’d call to check on the status I’d get the run around and he’d blame it on the postal carrier. One time he said it was FedEx and another time it was UPS. It honestly didn’t make any sense. So don’t waste your time and hard earned money at this place.

  I have been going to Sterling for a couple years. They are extremely helpful and very patient. Picking out glasses is not an easy task for me. Each customer receivess their full attention. I recommend them often.
