If you're experiencing jaw pain, headaches, or difficulty chewing, you may have Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder. At Whole Body Dentistry, we offer comprehensive TMJ treatment tailored to your specific needs. Our approach includes non-invasive therapies such as guided jaw exercises and stretches to improve mobility and reduce tension. We provide custom-fitted occlusal splints and night guards to prevent jaw clenching during sleep, as well as Botox injections for muscle relaxation. Our TMJ treatment also incorporates personalized lifestyle and stress management advice to address underlying factors, helping you achieve lasting relief and improved quality of life.

Ozone Therapy

At Whole Body Dentistry, we offer innovative ozone therapy to enhance your dental care experience and promote optimal oral health. Ozone therapy is a cutting-edge treatment that harnesses the power of ozone gas to combat various dental issues naturally and effectively. This revolutionary approach benefits patients dealing with recurring cavities, gum disease, tooth sensitivity, and those seeking alternatives to traditional dental procedures. Our ozone therapy services include cavity treatment and prevention, gum disease management, root canal disinfection, and teeth whitening enhancement. If you're looking for a safe, natural solution to boost your overall oral health, ozone therapy provides an effective option worth exploring for lasting results.

Our holistic dentistry approach focuses on treating the whole person, not just your teeth, by addressing root causes and promoting natural healing. We offer comprehensive services, including mercury-free fillings, biocompatibility testing, ozone therapy, nutritional counseling, and safe dental amalgam removal using non-toxic materials. Holistic dentistry emphasizes prevention while reducing exposure to harmful substances through minimally invasive procedures and biocompatible materials. Mercury-Safe Dentistry

Your choice of a mercury free dentist can significantly impact your overall health and well-being. At Whole Body Dentistry in the Greater Hudson Valley, we follow the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (IAOMT) protocol, which minimizes exposure to mercury vapor during amalgam filling removal. Our comprehensive process includes dental dam isolation, high-volume suction, medical-grade oxygen via nasal mask, copious water spray to reduce vapor, and protective garments for everyone involved. As your reliable mercury free dentist, we offer biocompatible dental materials, mercury-free fillings, and holistic treatments designed to support your overall wellness while providing exceptional oral care in a safe environment.

Biological Dentistry

Since 2009, Whole Body Dentistry has been transforming oral care in the Greater Hudson Valley through biological dentistry—an approach that recognizes how your mouth affects your entire body. Our biological dentistry philosophy goes beyond treating symptoms to address the root causes of dental issues while considering your overall health. With over two decades of combined experience, our team provides patient-centered care in a warm, inviting atmosphere where your concerns are heard and thoroughly addressed. We develop personalized treatment plans using biocompatible materials and minimally invasive techniques that align with your health goals. I love coming in and getting all my dental needs met. Chanda is very helpful, she answers all my questions and is very knowledgeable. Dr. Udolf is a real artist. He explains everything in detail and then back it up with his work. I’ve never been even slightly disappointed.

Dr. Udoff did such amazing work on fixing my front teeth and allowing me to smile again with confidence. He took his time making sure everything was perfect and you would never know I had anything done! It was also great that they don't overbook so you don't feel rushed. I will only use this office moving forward.

Dr. Scott Udoff is the kind of doctor you rarely come across anymore - a true throwback in the best sense of the word. He doesn’t just focus on your teeth; he takes a whole-body approach, looking at how everything is connected, more like a thoughtful physician than a typical dentist. He’s compassionate, honest, and direct - no fluff, no upsell, just real guidance you can trust. His work is incredibly gentle - I’ve never felt his injections, which says everything about his skill. What really sets him apart is how genuine he is. He takes a real interest in our entire family, especially my teenage kids. He relates to them naturally and makes them feel comfortable - not in a forced way, but because he truly cares. His staff is just as incredible - kind, professional, and aligned with the same level of care and integrity. This is holistic care as good as it gets. We travel two hours each way to see him, which should tell you everything you need to know. Dr. Udoff and his team are that exceptional. Highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions About Whole Body Dentistry

How are chronic inflammation diseases related to dental oral health?

Chronic inflammation diseases are closely linked to dental oral health. The inflammatory process begins when the immune system detects a foreign irritant, triggering the sympathetic nervous system. This leads to an inflammatory cascade to combat pathogens. Chronic inflammation occurs when this process continues long-term, often due to factors such as metal dental work, bacterial overgrowth from gum disease, or root canal infections. These conditions can result in chronic jaw infections, known as NICO, which contribute to ongoing inflammation in the body.

How is the autoimmune system related to oral health?

The autoimmune system and oral health are interconnected through the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) present in every cell. The MHC helps the immune system identify cells as part of the body. However, toxins from root canal treatments, jaw infections, and mercury from silver fillings can alter the MHC's form. This alteration can lead to the immune system attacking these cells, potentially causing autoimmune conditions such as multiple sclerosis or ALS, depending on the affected cell type.
