  Very professional and polite staff. Dr. Durante was so caring and kind it made the experience so much better. I would highly recommend her and her staff.

  Cómo es posible que la recepcionista le haya contestado mal e impaciente a mi hija por una sencilla pregunta sobre si hacían una valoración pre- cirugía. Deben comprender que uno como paciente no domina términos médicos. Al parecer, por la forma de hablar pudo haber sido la que se le oye un acento más gringo. Por lo demás, en relación a los doctores, no tengo queja. Gracias por su atención.

  Dr. Rivera alongside her dental assistants Fendi and Melanie (hope i wrote that right) were phenomenal! They made me feel at ease with the entire procedure, guided me through each step, and ensured I was well taken care of. Very professional and caring for their patients. The front desk staff are also very straightforward and helpful. My insurance was luckily accepted and they approved the procedure (healthfirst, though approvals arent guaranteed) so I highly recommend this clinic. Id second guess the negative reviews. Just do the online check in, upload your referral and relevant insurance card/ID and it'll make your experience as smooth and positive as possible! ☆☆☆☆☆

  My experience with Merrick Oral Surgery was extremely disappointing. The office manager and staff were very rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The way I was spoken to and treated was completely unacceptable, especially coming from people working in a healthcare environment. An office manager is supposed to set the standard for professionalism and customer service. When the person responsible for managing the office is contributing to the problem instead of resolving it, that says a lot about the environment patients are walking into. Patients come to an oral surgeon because they need CARE. They may already be nervous, in pain, dealing with medical issues, or simply trying to get answers. Nobody should have to tolerate disrespect or an attitude on top of that. There are too many oral surgeons on Long Island for anyone to feel like they have to accept being treated poorly. Based on my personal experience, I would absolutely think twice before choosing this office. And for management: professionalism starts at the top. If your office manager and staff don’t know how to communicate respectfully with patients, that is a management problem—not a patient problem. Do better. Patients deserve better.
