  The only thing I regret about this place is not having visited sooner. All of the staff are very kind, respectful, and treat Hispanics with a lot of love. This is my first time in this beautiful place and I am not leaving. From the moment you walk in, it's a smile, and a contagious kindness; I walked in smiling and left the same way. If you don't speak English, they will help you with that same love. If you are Hispanic and want to be treated with love for your eye exam, this is the perfect place. A thousand stars for all the staff and the beautiful place. New patient who is staying."🥰🥰🥰 thank you.

  My regular pair of glasses broke, so for the last two days, I have been wearing my back-ups, which were purchased online, never adjusted, and the temples were starting to hurt. My FIL is an eye surgeon and on the board of ophthalmology at Upstate, and told me to just go to any eye place to get them adjusted until it was time to get new glasses. I stopped into The Eye Care Center, waited online for almost 15 minutes, and the receptionist got me in for an adjustment with the optician. While she had my glasses, the other optician (an older woman) abruptly got up from her appointment with two people to stop the first optician from adjusting my glasses because “they are from online.” I was upfront from the start that they weren’t from there and I just needed them heat-adjusted. She snatched them away from the first optician and handed them back to me without them being adjusted, and said they can only fix screws of “online glasses.” I said I didn’t need a screw adjustment and left. This felt extremely unprofessional and weird, and certainly not in the name of good customer service, which for a place with signs up at every station asking for people to give them referrals, this was very much not in the spirit of making me ever want to go back there. Perhaps if this optician had a screw adjustment of her own, she wouldn’t be so needlessly rude to someone asking for help.

  The staff went above and beyond to make sure my glasses were exactly what I needed. I am so appreciative of their patience and expertise.

  Over charged for services not asked for and not covered by Medicare. On the day of service I was told there would be a $40 copay but then got billed for more. We get eye exams every year and our insurance has always covered it in full. All that I asked for was a new prescription that was always covered in the past. They claimed that they were out of network and did not have to agree to the amount that our insurance covered. Our insurance covers in or out of network in full. With the prescription that they gave me I cannot focus close enough to read.
