Leaving an honest review for those considering joining here, and for the owner and people in charge of class times and scheduling. Let me start off by saying that I am absolutely in LOVE with these classes. I tried personal training at two other gyms the past year, but with my asthma cardio ended up being too intense and I’d have to use an inhaler and would be coughing the rest of the day. The main Pilates reformer classes I have taken so far have been amazing! The stretch class was also okay. The pace is great for someone who has asthma, and I love that the one teacher Heather incorporate weights in her classes. Sunday mornings are not normally a day I’m free, so I do wish the other level 1 instructors would also use weights once in a while. (If they have then somehow I’ve missed all the classes where they’ve used them.) It made a night and day difference in how my body felt and what I personally got out of the workout. I do think these classes are great for me, but unfortunately most of the scheduled class times don’t work for me and that’s the drawback.. As someone who works 12 hour shifts I can only make lunch time classes around 12 and 1pm during the work week depending on when my lunch is for that day. Most of your 30 minute trial classes are at that time, or you recently changed the Monday afternoon time to start 30 minutes earlier which I can no longer make and am extremely disappointed in. I’d love to see a Monday class around 12:30 or 1pm. Tuesdays it would be great to see an early afternoon class around 1pm. I could make that every single Tuesday and support that if you were to get that going. Wednesdays it would also be amazing if you had a 12pm or 12:30pm class. I’d would also absolutely love to see extended class hours on the weekends. For those of us with demanding jobs that work through the morning we’re not able to make your classes until later. It would be absolutely amazing to see a 3pm class on Saturday and Sundays. I know you’re doing what you can and I’m sure your current classes work for most people, but unfortunately they don’t work for me and that’s why it’s so frustrating. I finally found something that I love, feels good, and my body is happy with but I can’t make your sessions. With personal training I could schedule them on my lunch break, but it didn’t work for my body. Please consider having classes in the afternoon and expanding your weekend hours pleaseee. I truly think this could be amazing for me going forward, and I could be one of your crazy people that reaches 500 or 1,000 classes one day if the schedule works. My only other feedback is going into this I was really looking for a supportive environment. Most of the teachers here don’t talk to the clients beyond their teaching instruction. I’d really love to see the instructors getting to know the people in their class. Ask them questions, show them that you care about them and are happy to be there and that it isn’t just a job. I also know the space is small, and the only downside or downfall to your studio is that you don’t have changing rooms or locker rooms. I almost feel embarrassed and stressed when I have to change in the bathroom when there are others that finished my class needing to use the restroom and those coming in that also need to use it. I just wish there was a space for this, but there’s not so I often drive to McDonalds just to change there and then head back to work. This would be a wonderful long term goal of yours if you’re able to fit 1-2 changing rooms in somewhere. I know this review is extremely long, but that’s because I’m so happy I found this place but also so frustrated/devastated that the class times don’t work for me. It makes me feel stuck, and may have to go back to personal training which I hate only because of the times. I hope you’ll take everything above into consideration. You have something great going, and with some adjustments it can be even greater.
