- TNThuy NguyenJul 20, 20261.0I’m very dissatisfied with my eye exam experience. The doctor said he put my prescription in the phoropter, but I couldn’t read the letters on the wall. I had my glasses with me so I could have easily verified. The doctor also claimed that I needed progressive lenses when I have no issues reading anything up close. All my life I have been nearsighted and have no issues with farsightedness. I am well aware as I age that it might be an issue, but I have no issues at the moment. I went and got another exam today at a competitor for a second opinion, and I am glad I did. The exam at LensCrafters did not sit well with me. Today’s exam aligns with my experience, and it turns out my prescription has not changed since my last eye exam two years ago. It is very concerning how wrong LensCrafters got it. It’s one thing to scam someone to spend more money at your business, but it’s another to also worsen someone’s vision.
