  Momentum is the place to be. The rehabilitation is awesome to get you back into your routine of life. The staff is also caring and they answer your questions and/or any concerns you may have for your loved ones or yourself. Its location is easy to get to and convenient for some food shopping next door, let’s not leave out great restaurants too. I have had my mom and other friends stay in Momentum, non of us have had any complains. The food is not that bad. Wish they would cook the ingredients better. Something’s are a bit hard for those elderly people that don’t have teeth. I would still recommend Momentum to other.

  Do NOT I repeat DO NOT send your loved one to Momentum!! Do not believe this places 4.3 star review, this place is terrible. My Mom was a recovering stroke patient at the sub-acute rehab. The staff was rude and they treated her like an animal. They messed up my moms medications, she was constantly in a wet diaper because they refused to take her to the bathroom, there was no communication, and was greeted with a look of aggravation if I asked a question. My family and I were there with my mom all day everyday because we couldn't leave her alone with the staff. She was unable to communicate or walk on her own. As if that wasn't enough for my 0 star review, One day my family and I couldn't make it there until later in the day! They left my Mom in a wheel chair in the hallway for 6 hours slumped over, moaning, shaking and drooling and stopped communicating all together. When a family member finally showed up that day they were horrified. We asked for a doctor immediately which took over an hour, ask if she needed to go to the hospital they said NO, she has a virus. I said this is not a virus call 911, they refused, I begged and pleaded as my mom was choking on her own vomit, to call 911. They said if she leaves she loses her bed, I didn't care. There was something seriously wrong. After 2 hours pleading with them, an ambulance finally came. The "VIRUS" they said my mom had was actually TWO severe frontal lobe strokes. She sadly passed away 2 weeks later. They FAILED my mom, but I feel like I failed my mom by sending her here! They missed all the signs. DON'T fail your loved one!! I'm trying to warn you all STAY AWAY FROM MOMENTUM, EAST ISLIP!!!

  For the first visit it was informative friendly, rooms are large and appealing to the eye. The interior of the entry reminds me of a hotel amd the patient floor seems to have an active staff
