  Beware of this place if you're under 65 and aren't in the market for any type of surgery. Biggest problem I had with this place was that I was very transparent when I called to make the initial appt that I was looking for a new dr because mine was booked out several months and that I was a contact lense wearer and needed more. The lady who made my appt should have told me this would require multiple visits. An hour long initial visit yet the doctors don't do contact lense exams 🤔. Said I would have to go over to optical for that. Well forget being able to pop over to optical to have a quick contact lense exam. The girl at the optical desk was rude. Said they had to order trials before I could even be seen and then I would have to wear them for awhile and come back for a recheck before they could order contacts for me. WHAT?! I've been wearing contacts for 30 years! No problems, healthy eyes. I even know the brand of contacts I wear. Like come on - what a bad practice with a bunch of BS policies.

  7 years ago, Dr Hindman did cataract surgery on my left eye. April 19th, she did my right eye. Both surgeries went flawlessly. Dr Hindman and her staff went out of their way to to answer all of my questions, made me feel relaxed and comfortable before, during and after the surgery. Thank all of you for fixing up my sight and making my life much brighter !!!!

  My wife had cataract surgery here and seemed to be happy with the care and services they provided for her. My cataracts are not ready for surgery but I needed a new pair of glasses so I thought I would try them out. I have bifocals and the distance vision was fine but to read with them I had to look through the bottom 1/16 of an inch of the lens and my eyes watered constantly due to the eye strain. I went back to the Canandaigua office to see if they could adjust things or maybe get me some new lenses. I was told that I needed to make an appointment to see an optician and no one could even adjust things as they are short staffed. I’ve been using my old pair from warby Parker which are much better.

  Dr. Rothstein and her team are excellent, she answered all questions and was sure that they were well understood, should the need arise again, I will not hesitate to contact her for my needs- very very satisfied— Bob

  I had a wonderful experience during my cornea transplant, however a few years later when I needed to be seen for a loose suture in my eye they gave me the run around after I left 4 urgent messages and no return calls from the manager. I ended up going to Flaum eye care at Strong and they were amazing. Shame on the eye care center for refusing care for an emergent situation and standing by their work. I could have lost/ permanently damaged my eye.
