The Chelsea Piers Fitness club in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, exemplifies our established standard of excellence with ample space and triple-sized ceilings, modern design, extensive strength and cardio spaces, several group fitness studios, an oversized members lounge and co-working space, luxurious locker rooms, and an outdoor terrace.
The club also boasts four boutique-style studios, including an infrared studio for hot yoga and pilates classes, an expansive turf, cardio and strength areas, a Kids Clubhouse for babysitting, and a members-only social + co-working space. We are excited to offer over 100 fitness classes per week, specialty workshops, personal training, as well as a full calendar of member and community events.
Membership price for the coworking space alone is worth it. The gym membership which includes classes, amenities, sauna and steam room etc is cheaper than any coworking space I’ve found in NYC. If you compare the price to a regular gym membership it’s daunting, but if you will use the coworking space and take classes and compare to those prices it feels worth it. Now I just need to work out there as much as I work from there.

Facility and staff are nice but the WiFi has never worked properly in 7 months of membership so don’t count on the coworking space.

Came as a guest, was thinking about joining. Valuable possessions were stolen from the locker room. Staff was initially empathetic about it but communication died out pretty quickly. Overall a very disappointing experience

Chelsea Piers is making extremely difficult to cancel my membership even with prove that I’m relocating back to my home country. Don’t get a membership here if you are an immigrant and have to go back at some point. They’ll request that you share your sensitive information.

First of all, a huge thank you to the staff. They work tirelessly all day long to keep the gym clean and to make sure equipment is repaired and maintained as quickly as possible. Everyone is friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The personal trainers are great as well—knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly passionate about what they do.
My only complaint is the music. The volume is way too low, and the playlist could use some work. We're in Brooklyn, not a country club in Kentucky. The atmosphere should feel a little more energetic and alive.
I get that these days everyone seems to work out with their AirPods in, but some of us still enjoy hearing the gym's music, talking to other people, and feeling part of the environment instead of being completely isolated in our own little bubble.
Once again, I really appreciate the staff and everything they do. I just wish the gym had a little more personality and energy when it comes to the music. We're in Brooklyn—let's act like it.
