My 7 year old has been waiting for a new seat for his wheelchair for months! Mean while he is in pain daily but they do not care. It takes months and months to get any repair done. The worst company I have ever worked with,I don't even know how they are still in business

I ASKED THEM TO TAKE IT BACK. THEY SAID "WE CAN'T BECAUSE YOU SIGNED FOR IT" . A FEW DAYS AFTER THEY LEFT, THE WHEELS BECAME WOBBLY, THE CHAIR ITSELF STARTED MOVING AND TILTING FORWARD... AFTER CALLING MULTIPLE TIMES ON MULTIPLE DAYS, SOMEONE SAID THEY'D BE HERE ON FEBRUARY 16, 2024 ..... FEBRUARY 16 CAME AND WENT THROUGHOUT THE MONTHS, I'VE TRIED TO CALL..... MY INSURANCE COMPANY CALLED ALSO MULTIPLE TIMES ON MULTIPLE DAYS.... ***MAY 2024 ... .MY INSURANCE COMPANY CALLED ME AND SAID NATIONAL SEATING WOULD COME TO PICK UP THE DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT; NS WOULD CALL WITH DATE AND TIME ... **JUNE 15, 2024 ... - CZCharles ZanderJun 21, 20191.0They are great to deal with as long as everything goes okay. I have bought three wheelchairs from them and the newest one has all sorts of issues. I received this chair on 07/20/2018 and it's almost a year and it still does not fit me properly. I had to get Medicare involved and they ended up talking to the HR Manager. Medicare insisted I'm talking to a manager and that's what we got. I had an appointment scheduled at a wheelchair clinic and now NSM he's all jumping aboard like the clinic was their idea. If possible stay away. Most dealers are excellent when there's no issue. Is that true quality companies step up when there's an issue. Mobility Works tries to hide from you. Stay away!

We work with your physician, nurses and therapists to provide a one-of-a-kind mobility solution customized to your needs and preferences. Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
