I went back to this dentist for the first time in years after having problems with a molar that had broken twice after being reconstructed. I was told that I would not be able to put a crown on it without expensive periodontal surgery by another dentist, which I was perfectly fine without doing as my molar experienced little sensitivity and I could eat fine. When I got my insurance back and returned to Absolute Dental, they then told me they COULD put a crown on it. I decided I might as well try it and the procedure itself was perfectly fine. However, I had a cleaning scheduled for the day after my crown was placed and the dental tech who did my cleaning was really rough with the floss and tore my crown off. She acted as if it was perfectly fine and walked away, leaving me waiting in pain as my nerve was exposed to the open air before the tech who originally put my crown on came back to glue it on, causing even more pain. I need you to understand just how much pain having an exposed molar nerve causes, as that nerve is connected to other nerves that extend all the way up to your temple. I was in AGONY. It felt like the worst migraine you can imagine that got exponentially worse every time I breathed. After getting my crown replaced, I spent the next months suffering from continued pain and sensitivity I never experienced when my original tooth was broken. It got so bad that I got a different dentist to refer me to oral surgery to just pull the tooth out completely. Now here I am, younger than 30 and missing a major molar that will impact my jaw for the rest of my life. I regret ever letting a different dentist tell me they could do something they clearly never should have. It was my fault for returning to this dentist that spent five years going back and forth with my mother over dentures they kept making too big for her mouth to the point where she simply gave up and can never acclimate to dentures now. I would never recommend this place if you have any unique dental needs. Go literally anywhere else.
