  I went to another eye doctor over a year ago, was so excited to get some new glasses and contacts. This "other doctor" (not Pearl Vision) diagnosed me with a moderate/ severe astigmatism. I was like, "Cool, it happens. What next?" My eyes were/are totally healthy, otherwise. For those of you who don't know, astigmatism changes the cost of your contacts, depending on how bad it is. Those with a pretty bad astigmatism need a different kind of contact. So, I'm at this other doctor, getting this diagnosis that my eyes are older, weaker, and have changed shape (the astigmatism diagnosis). Got my prescription(the number they use to make your glasses and contacts so you can see clearly). Here's where it's gets shady. I bought three pairs of glasses and contacts for six months. Paid for all the bells and whistles. I need to see and I needed my glasses and contacts to be the best I could afford. After choosing the special brand of contacts and choosing my frames, I wound up paying about $1200. I know, that's a lot, but I figured I'd have them for a year and I needed to see to do my job. At the time, I was a full-time Amazon dsp driver, the big blue vans. I received my trial contacts that day, the ones they said I needed because they told me my eyes were shaped different(the astigmatism diagnosis). Those cost more than the regular ones. I put them in and they felt a little odd, but the tech told me my eyes just needed to get used to them. Cool. I left, blinking and feeling the things on my eyeballs, but gave it some time. After all, I'd just paid a mortgage to get my vision corrected. After an hour, I HAD to take them out. They HURT my eyes, became so uncomfortable to wear, I couldn't bear it. I decided to try again the next day, same result. For months, I tried to wear these expensive contacts, that this "other doctor"(not Pearl Vision) said I needed. I couldn't wear them. They sat in my bathroom for the year. Then, my glasses came. The actually prescription numbers were left ON THE LENSES, in my field of vision. I immediately pointed this out to the tech, upon inspecting my new purchase. She told me that's how lenses are made and gave me no option to have them remade. I got promoted from full-time, big blue van driver, to dispatch. This meant I had to do far more reading on a computer screen and mobile devices, while problem solving and managing dozens of drivers. Blurry vision is a catastrophe. My boss, who is a masterpiece of a teacher, told me about THIS doctor at Pearl Vision. On my first day off, I called them and begged them to see me that day. They graciously accommodated me, squeezing me in. I traveled across the city, hoping for better results than my last visit to that different doctor. Immediately upon arriving, I new this place was different. The staff was very friendly, acknowledged me immediately. Even though the location was busy, I didn't have to wait. My appointment time was honored. Unusual for a medical appointment. My initial testing was done by the optical tech/assistant, who gave me the option to choose what I wanted to be seen for. That "other doctor"(not Pearl Vision) just loaded my chart with a bunch of tests I didn't need or ask for. Expecting to pay a fortune, I opted for the tests I needed that I knew of. No extras. At no time did ANYONE try to 'hustle' me to spend more money than I had to. This is important. Immediately after my initial tests, the doctor was on time, didn't make me wait another long period of time. She's instantly likeable. Walked into the room, tested my eyes, told me I never had the astigmatism the other doctor told me I had. I could wear regular contacts. My experience was so wonderful at this PEARL VISION location, I left wearing my new contacts, that I wore all day, with zero discomfort or issues. They also added in a spare pair of glasses, complete, for $59. I was shocked how great this place is to cuatomers. Not only can I see, but, I didn't get ripped off. Service was impeccable. I'm a customer for life!

  I see Dr. Kokolow. She is thorough and so nice. I recommend the digital eye ball scan. With this scan she found 2 tears. Turned out to be urgent. Absolutely, hands down, best optometrist in Vegas.

  This is my first time there and it was great! Fast check in and everyone was very attentive. Hannah did great on my exam and listening to my concerns. Liz helped me wonderfully with trying on my new contact lenses. Dr. Mao was quick, efficient and kind and educated me on my new prescription. Sam was awesome helping me pick the perfect pair of glasses and go over lens options and the contacts I got, the prices were very reasonable with insurance! Thank you so much Pearle Vision so I can see better now!

  Got the worst pair of glasses possible here. Went in did some exams and purchased a pair of glasses. Everyone was really nice and helpful, Dr was very friendly and while there were very long waits for everything (3 plus hours despite having an appointment) it was a good experience. Issue is when I came to pickup my glasses a week later; again a very long wait and when it was finally my turn they lady literally handed me a case and walked away, didn’t have me try it on, didn’t even take out the glasses or see if they work for me. Just gave it to me said have a great day and disappeared. No biggie if the glasses are right, but got home and tried them on, was god awful. Worst glasses I ever got, they were over $100, meanwhile I normally order those cheap $6 pairs online and all those are way better than what pearle vision sold me. Turns out the glasses dont even have anti reflection, zero coatings make them unusable. Thinking back no one ever asked me if I wanted any coatings or extras when I ordered the glasses. They took down the numbers, showed me a drawer of glasses and had me pick one. No customizing or anything. So I’m out a bunch of money and will need to toss the waste they sold me as they are fully unusable and do nothing but create risks for me (just try driving with these).

  It was a very pleasant and rewarding experience starting from the staff greeting me and my going to the desk and welcomed by SAM! She explained what I needed and when I wanted to defer certain exams she just made sure I am being followed up by an ophthalmologist. She gave me an estimate of my needs and scheduled my exam. No pressure ! The eyeglasses were superior in quality and variety!! I will never go to any other optometry place. Highly, highly recommend this place at Rampart and Lake mead!!!!!
