The "Life-Restored" ReviewI am writing this review the day before I return to full duty, and I can honestly say I haven't felt this good in over two decades.Just seven weeks ago, my life took a terrifying turn. After a work injury on 3/14/2025 , my condition spiraled into a nightmare: I developed Cauda Equina Syndrome, which led to a neurogenic bladder and significant motor and sensory loss in my legs. I was admitted through the ER at Summerlin Hospital on an urgent/emergent basis.Dr. Mark Kabins was the surgeon who stepped in when things were at their worst. My case was incredibly complex, involving degenerative spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis at multiple levels, a synovial cyst, and disc herniations. Dr. Kabins was thorough during the assessment and very direct about the risks involved. He didn't make empty promises; he just performed with incredible skill. The results have been nothing short of miraculous. To go from emergency spinal surgery on February 26th to being cleared for full-duty work by mid-April is a testament to the expertise found at Las Vegas Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation. If you are facing a serious spinal issue, especially one requiring urgent intervention, do NOT be fearful; Dr. Kabins just might change your life for the better! He gave me my mobility, my health, and my career back. I am forever grateful.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mark Kabins for my back issues, and this was my second visit. He recommended physical therapy, and the place he suggested took excellent care of me—I just finished those sessions. I’m not fully recovered yet and still have quite a bit of pain along with limited mobility, but I’m starting to notice small improvements little by little. Dr. Kabins is very thorough, takes the time to listen to my concerns, and explains everything clearly without rushing. He’s focused on a thoughtful treatment plan to help me improve over time. What really stands out is how fantastic the entire team is. The front desk staff are awesome—always friendly, welcoming, and super efficient whenever I call or come in. They make scheduling and handling paperwork feel effortless and go out of their way to help. The whole staff at Las Vegas Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation interacts with such warmth and professionalism that every visit feels supportive and stress-free. Dr. Kabins’ calm and caring bedside manner complements the team perfectly, making the whole experience much more manageable. I’m hopeful that with continued care we’ll keep making progress toward better function and pain relief. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable back doctor or spine specialist in Las Vegas who truly cares about his patients’ long-term results, along with a team that makes you feel valued, I highly recommend Dr. Kabins and his staff. Recovery takes patience, but the care and interactions I’m receiving are excellent

I am a 69 year old retired Fire Captain. I was severely injured in a structure fire in 1999. Broken pelvis, femur, cervical and lumbar spine injuries. I had recurring pain from those injuries and so I was seeing Dr. Robert Bien for oxycodone which he prescribed gladly. One appointment I mentioned to Bien that Dr. Shaw a neurologist that Bien recommended thought my shoulder pain was coming from my C Spine. Bien immediately called Kabins to see me. Kabins scheduled me for a 4 level cervical fusion. At the time I was taking Oxy every day and still trusted surgeons. Stay away from this money grubbing duplicitous surgeon and his buddy Dr. Robert Bien. Kabins did a two day anterior and posterior 4 level fusion on my C Spine. I've never been the same. My neck hurts constantly and I walk hunched over like an old man. Sucks. Dr. Kabins ruined my life. Let me know if you want me to get in touch with you. Oh, another thing. Nevada has a ceiling of 350,000 dollars on medical damages so you can't even get an attorney to take the case. After expert witnesses and the like nothing is left for the attorneys. Damnit, my life sucks because of Kabins and Bien.
