I have nothing but good to say about 101 Mobility. The stair left that they installed for us has been a godsend for my wife. They were very good to work with and I look forward to Working with them in the future as needed.

Regarding the original installation, needing a heavy-duty stair lift max weight of 350 pounds, installer Ed pushed this used unit off on me. I had plenty of money to buy a new lift. Ed said doesn’t matter, that he can swap out any parts anyway including Motors better to pay $3,000 instead of $4,000. Within 8 months the Lift began breaking down, I would call Ed and have to wait extensive periods for the repairs, right at this point I wished I had a new lift. Eventually, 3 years later the batteries went out, Ed wanted to charge $70 for the batteries and a trip charge, when working here he stripped all the Allen bolts, I had to get new screws from my garage or have no lift at all, I had to buy and replace the batteries myself Ed said that is better anyway. Then 9 months later the lift begins making beep noises, at the bottom and on the way up. Ed said it needs a new $1,800 Motor and he needs to charge a trip charge. Ed also added the batteries I bought are no good he has to charge for batteries also $70. Ed was scheduled at Noon on April 9th, 2024, but he was a no-show. I called Ed and asked where are you? Ed asked if I was to go there today. I said yes so he came very late after setting that time slot for Ed tied up my whole day. Before Ed arrived knowing his inexperience at this point I called Harmar support. Support stated it is as simple as this, meter the outside plates at the bottom of the stair Lift should be 28 VDC. There was NO voltage so basically I was running this lift solely on batteries why was it beeping, plus intermittent beeps as it climbed the stairs? Ed arrived and found out his wiring mechanical connection was installed poorly. Ed then reconnected the joint, I stated I have a cordless solder gun please use it, he said NO. He reinstalled it with the same huge ball of tape sent down the channel. It appears Ed wants customers to have failures so he can charge trip charges. Now that the batteries are being charged the lift emits no more error beeps, then after Ed reinstalled everything, has the audacity to charge a $75 trip charge after he made all these mistakes.
