- MKMaalvi KatzeJul 26, 20261.0I visited on 7/25/26 at 4:45. This was my first time in a Good Feet store. I went in to hopefully get some shoes to use in the process of rehabilitating my feet. I did not realize the Good Feet Store is uninterested in improving the physical condition/strength/function/etc of your feet, only perceived comfort. They sell orthotics designed to passively position your foot into a more comfortable position but not actually strengthen the muscles or help you learn to move your foot in a better pattern to reinforce the better position. At any rate, we had a small wait and when we finally got to speak to the person who does the, I guess the best word for it is sales spiel(her name tag said something manager), I told her where I'm at in my process and what I'm looking for. What i wish happened is that she just said right then and there, "hey look I wish we could help you, but our products are meant to increase comfort where rehabilitation either isn't possible or the person just isn't willing to go through the rehab process." It would have been a bummer, but reasonable and honest. Instead, when I would ask questions trying to get a better understanding of how this was meant to fit into a rehab program, she kept repeating, "Well it's a commitment, you will be wearing them forever and you have to commit to that." She kept trying to spin it. So then she had me do ink imprints and said see this is your gait and it can not be changed(do people really believe you can't walk using different gaits?). Over the course of this conversation, she also said that resting the muscles in your feet(using their insoles) would strengthen them and walking without the insoles like using my own foitv muscles, would weaken them. (??! ...not how that works) I finally got to a point where I wasn't sure if she believed what she was saying or she was just trolling me so I told her I wasn't ready, I literally said, "I'm not ready to buy today." I meant that to be a courteous or polite or at least inoffensive closure and that would be that. But no. She then said, "Well we'll be here and welcome you back when you're ready to make that commitment" or something to that effect. The tone was patronizing, it was, icky. I flat told her that last statement guaranteed i would never step foot in another Good Feet store as i was collecting my things to leave. First and last time.
