National Seating Las Vegas used to be great! It went downhill since John and Blake left. My daughter had an order for car seat and sleep safe bed since August of last year. Nobody calls to update you or let you know that they need paper work. I have to keep calling. I’ve basically been calling back and forth with them, the doctor and physical therapist. I pushed the order of the bed after 6 months because Erik told me they can work on it. So I had to get a new order again for both the bed and car seat because it’s been 6 months and nothing was done. Communication is horrible especially with Amy the Funding Specialist. She is very discouraging. The physical therapist and doctor made all the necessary paper work only for Amy to tell me that our primary insurance is a no-go payer. She even requested for chart notes. So why would you say that it’s a no go payer when you already knew from the beginning what our insurance is? We got 6 equipments from the past without any problems. So I called our insurance to ask what they need which I explained to Amy via text. She only responds when it’s convenient for her. She picked up my call when I called to ask for a manager because by this time I was so upset already. I specifically said I don’t want to speak to her but for some reason my call was still transferred to Amy. All of a sudden she said her manager “approved” it and we can go forward with the order. Unbelievable! I’ve been very understanding of the situation that they might be overwhelmed with orders. I can help do phone calls and request paper work just for the order to keep moving, but if the Funding Specialist is holding back my daughter’s orders because she’s not doing anything unless I call to follow-up is unacceptable. It’s so frustrating! You can atleast try to submit it since we already got the doctor’s order, notes and letter of medical necessity.
As for the car seat, I lost hope already. She does not communicate well! They received a denial letter that they did not do anything about until I called to follow-up. I hate writing negative reviews but this is my last resort since there’s not even a manager you can talk to. They are supposed to be helping us parents get these equipments for our kids because they really need it. It’s so sad because they used to be a great place to get dme from.

I have been using this company for about 10 years for my child’s medical equipment. John was amazing, reliable, communicated with me, showed he cared about his job and helping my son get his equipment. Stephanie amazing, caring, kind, I can’t say enough good things about her. Also Blake and the techs who help with my child’s equipment, come to the house for repairs- you all are wonderful! My one star is because since John is gone and now there is the call center, which I think is located in Tennessee, there is no communication. When calling the call center you will either get someone who is nice and helpful or someone who is rude and will snap at you- it’s really just a toss of a coin. My son’s order has been going since Feburary- per the call center it was sitting for a few months because of a paper work issue- I know it was a paper work issue because I asked the lady if they need the doctor to sign a paper and couldn’t get in touch with them, why would they not call me? This person told me it was actually on the companies side and that is where the issue had sat for months. So during that call in April it was then sent to my sons doctor to be signed. That being the beginning of April. Poor communication with clients, some rude call center employees, orders not being worked on for months with no communication why. I did love this company and I know equipment orders take time, but I was told the order had not been worked on for months and nothing was communicated to me, the parent, as to what was going on or if I needed to do something to help.

I have Progressive MS and I’ve been a client of NSM for 7 years. Stephanie in the front office is always so helpful, informative and efficient. Tom, (branch manager) has helped me in so many ways. From his expert evaluation‘s; making certain I always have the right equipment - to his steadfast advocacy with the insurance companies so that I end up getting the aforementioned needed equipment.
Most of all Blake Johnson, their lead technician and in my opinion customer service guru. He not only knows the equipment inside out and understands all of the features and purposes of the equipment (he taught me new things today that I never knew- things that will bring me genuine health benefits and pain relief) but also helpful hints and tips on accessories, what items need prescriptions and the intricacies of that process. Every interaction is always a pleasure and I always feel important.

Frequently Asked Questions About National Seating & Mobility
What makes NSM the preferred choice for obtaining mobility solutions?
At NSM, we are uniquely positioned to search hundreds of sources for the precise components needed to create a chair that is made specifically to meet the needs of each client. Each chair can be designed for maximum comfort and ease and will provide the specific therapeutic benefits prescribed for you by the health care team. But what really sets NSM apart is our approach. We work from the heart, honoring your journey of independence with efficient, friendly attention that puts your interests first. This is our life’s work—to help others move through life—and we take it very seriously.
How can I work with NSM for my mobility needs?
National Seating & Mobility is a member of your rehabilitation health care team. We work with your physician, nurses and therapists to provide a one-of-a-kind mobility solution customized to your needs and preferences. Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
The choice of a wheeled mobility supplier is yours. Discuss your decision with your physician and therapist.
