This is probably the fifth or sixth time where it’s happened that I received a text from the pharmacy hours ago notifying me that my medicine is refilled and ready for pick up only to go to the pharmacy and discover that my prescription has not actually been filled and that I’ll have to wait at least another 20-30 minutes for it to be filled. I understand that mistakes happen but this is becoming a pattern that is incredibly inconvenient and frustrating and detrimental. Since my medicine is a controlled substance I’m not allowed to pick up too early which means I’m often down to the last of my medication when I come to pick it up. I shouldn’t have to ration medicine that enables me to function purely because I’m never sure if I’m going to actually get my medicine the day I go to get it. Please, when a text is sent, please have someone double check that the prescription in question has truly been filled and is ready and waiting for pick up. I already have to deal with a condition that forces me to pay for and take pills every single day for the rest of my life - I really don’t want the pick-up process to be an entire ordeal as well. I like Market Street: the people are kind, it’s usually a quick wait, and it’s just a nice environment, it’s why I switched to this pharmacy, but I’m just really tired of this happening. Edit: thank you for the understanding response, I do genuinely appreciate everything you guys do.

The people who work at this pharmacy are so amazing. They do their absolute best. I cannot imagine what it is like having so many people who don't understand that understaffing isn't the fault of the pharmacists. It must be a nightmare. Yet, every time I've been there, they are super nice and helpful. Really knowledgeable and go above and beyond. They are a huge asset to Albertsons. Working with the public in Santa Fe is a nightmare and these lovely people handle it with grace and professionalism. It is difficult to get in touch but that is an issue that rests solely on Albertsons hiring practices and pool of skilled people (high rents and pay that doesn't keep up with cost of living drive people out). I worry about the stress on the employees and hope Albertsons can correct this and also implement measures so people don't abuse the staff. Makes it very difficult to retain employees anywhere in town. There should also be a big huge lit up sign that states the employees don't make the policies. They are doing the best they can with what they have and rude, bored, impatient people are gonna drive qualified people out of these jobs. You need a degree to be a pharmacist, afterall. Many people need medications urgently and manage to not scream at the staff. They all deserve raises. Maybe hire a person to solely answer the phone and keep them in the back not visible to customers? The automated system is great, but sometimes it's necessary to give them a call, especially with uncommon medications and controlled substances.

Tracy is a gem; I trust him with my medications more than my PCP and he provides far better patient education! Thank-you! Also, it seems that management has made great strides in addressing staffing levels and wait times!

The WORST pharmacy experience. I called in the morning to renew a Rx and received a text several hrs later saying the RX was ready. When I went to pick up the RX, i was quoted a price significantly higher than i had paid previously. When I inquired about the price, I was told that i did not have insurance which was incorrect. When i showed her my insurance card, she then went into their records and found my insurance information and she told me it would then take several days to put through insurance. When i then spoke to the manager, he told me that it was NOT their responsibility to check insurance and when they did, it was strictly a courtesy. I could not believe that this was coming from a pharmacy manager! Not sure if it was incompetency or laziness, either way time to change to CVS. Even for Santa Fe, this lack of customer service and rudeness is unusual.

Hands down the best pharmacy I have ever been to. They are knowledgeable enough to provide useful information about certain medication and will always try to be helpful.
