Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Absolutely rude and unprofessional staff from the pharmacist to all techs and assistants. Complete disregard to a parent trying to get their child's important medication! They don't let you talk wether it's over the phone or in person and when expressing your concerns they shrug their shoulders and walk away. It's mostly elderly and parents picking up for children and they could care less. This place needs a complete clean out and to hire people that actually care about others well-being. Definitely do not recommend the use of the pharmacy at all. They make Walgreens look 10 times better then they actually are!

Take forever filling prescriptions and only excuse is we're behind. They're constantly behind.. they will also be quick to blame insurance for their own incompetence. On top of it all when asked to transfer your prescriptions to a different pharmacy they will wait until the last minute and make you wait another 24hrs to get your very important medications. Definitely do not recommend this pharmacy to anyone!

The level of incompetence and laziness is absolutely absurd! 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Do not have prescriptions that had a rush order from the doctor filled within 24hrs and when asked why it has not been filled you get told we are behind. No my apologies or anything. They also mess up your insurance billing and constantly try to get patients to pay out of pocket. Both pharmacist and assistant are absolutely rude with no consideration what so ever.

I love Smith’s pharmacist Hailey and the rest of the girls, Brianna, Drea and Nancy! Always friendly, professional and willing to explain side effects and concerns of any new meds!

What a horrid attitude the pharmacy tech with black hair and glasses displayed today! Nasty, snippy, practically threw my prescription at me when I questioned the amount charged. And the pharmacist was standing right there! I never said an ill word toward this young woman - I was simply dismayed at the cost of the drug and commented, “Well, that figures!” in response. Instead of using good customer service skills and commiserating, she took my comment personally, and with barely contained rage violently packaged the pills, shoved them at me, and acted like she had just been called a blood-sucking harpie! A person who behaves like this has NO BUSINESS serving customers. Smith’s obviously doesn’t read these reviews or care - look at the number of 1 and 2- star reviews and negative testimonials. Shame on this employee, shame on her supervisor for allowing her to act like a childish ninny and shame on Smiths for failing to respond to the overwhelmingly negative feedback…I will NEVER use this pharmacy again.
