I cannot express how grateful I am to AmberCare and specifically to r hospice team for my Mom. Lena is an EXCEPTIONAL nurse. Aracely is great shower aid and Yessica (?), our social worker, was so incredibly patient and helpful w suggestions and resources as Mom’s condition continues to decline. AmberCare was so quick and responsive in getting Mom on board initially and the support we have had since is invaluable. I couldn’t have done this without them. THANK YOU!!! ❤️
I wish I had read the numerous negative reviews by before dealing with Ambercare home health Albuquerque. Disorganized, chaotic and confused are the nicest things I can say about them. Their lack of ability to document even the simplest details or respectfully interact with me or plan an appointment that would work with my schedule led me to believe I don't want my healthcare and my life in the hands of these people.
There are lots of other options that are professional, courteous and actually do proper and accurate documentation that enable the providers to make effective and medically sound decisions about care. That's where I am going.
My mom had a dignified and peaceful death, and hospice in her last few days was much appreciated.
This company is a testament to the horrible Healthcare system we have in this country. They are extremely inorganized, their recruiters have no idea how to answer questions at all. It seems as if they see people as nothing but numbers when they come through the door. They are only worried about their cut of someone's insurance allocated care. And worst of all are their recipients... people like Dianna are miserable and gives off the worst imaginable energy, that lady is Rude, and mean spirited, and doesnt belong anywhere near a customer service job. This company only fills positions, they have no process for hiring anyone, their recruiters leave when they want to, and do not hold their appointments. And on top of all of that they want to pay you $14 an hour... honestly, your better off working at walmart or ANYWHERE else, youd still make better money and not have to deal with these miserable people who work there.

I am going to be as concrete as possible. This is a Lovelace Health Systems Company Partner. I have bent over backwards trying to make things work with them and they are hell bent on being bad actors. I have attempted to educate and give the benefit of the doubt, to no avail. So I am giving you all a real review. Do not use this provider. They will put things in the patient's chart, no call no show, schedule LPN instead of RN when you need a RN to pull blood from your PICC Line, Have bad dressing changes, Not schedule you a Nurse's aid if you need one to help you with bathing, blame you for their incompetence or lack of knowledge, gaslight you, complain about YOUR illness and treat your physical illness as if you are a problem to their business model. Be aware, healthcare should not be like this.
The first thing wrong with this provider is that they charted misinformation about medication that I was not taking. I am not talking about some antibiotic. I am saying they put in my chart that I was on Heavy duty Narcotics. I didn't understand why I was being treated a certain way by people from this agency until two months into treatment when one of the physical therapists asked me if I was on Morphine and Valium. I mean. WHAT? NO. When I asked days later, if it had been removed, from my chart, to the nurse, she told me she would email the supervisor to have it removed. I also provided a Discharge summary from the hospital, showing ALL of medications, that I was NOT on these medications. They fabricated these medicines. This was to fit some narrative.
Now for the health part. 1) they had messed up appointments. 2) they had messed up on when labs were supposed to be done. I mean even when a supervisor (Agatha) was present, "we don't have the correct tubes to pull the labs or the orders in front of us, what labs are you supposed to have each week?" 3) I did have a picc line dressing that was not done well and spent half the week taping my own dressing to close the gap around me picc line.
4)They are not up on Medicare regulations and attempt to violate patients rights. Their business model is to admit and then discharge. Preference is hospice. As a patient on TPN - they did not see me as a Valuable patient. 5) They called me the day of discharge, and told me "we are discharging you ". (This is medical patient abonnement.) I was not medically ready for discharge. This medical director Agatha appears to think that I make up the federal rules that say you can't do this.
This was obvious retaliatory for requesting the correction of my chart to remove medication that I was not prescribed two weeks before. They did not have a doctor's order and when pressed, The managing Director Agatha, told me I was not medically needy for home health and not homebound anymore and that they called the doctor for a discharge. My doctor said she did not give them this. My condition had declined, not gotten better, so my doctor would not do this. I don't know who they got it from but not my managing doctor.
If you advocate for yourself, and not lying in a bed ready to die, they aren't interested in providing care for you... I am sweet and kind, but the second I wasn't smiling about being treated badly, I was considered "aggressive". The patient's rights manual they gave me told me how to handle them... When I spoke to step one.. she hung up on me when I cited Medicare federal law. You aren't allowed to have knowledge. They are just trying to collect money......I will be following up with all the numbers for their Solving Problems in their booklet.
