- KCKelsey CollinsJul 10, 20261.0I wanted to try Club Pilates through ClassPass and quickly learned it was not worth it. I have done many Pilates classes, both mat and reformer, at several studios where grippy socks weren’t required or needed. Despite this being the first class, I received no welcome or greeting from the instructor, just her telling me I had to buy the $20 grippy socks if I wanted to take the class I already used credits for (if there were more affordable options, they weren’t made known to me, as the receptionist didn’t know the prices of the socks). If you have to make a choice between a Pilates studio with an additional barrier to entry (being grippy socks) versus a Pilates studio with no required apparel, I would absolutely choose the Pilates studio with no required apparel. This is just another example of being nickel-and-dimed in every way possible by businesses and it’s exhausting.

One of the best parts is that the membership allows me to attend classes at other locations like Clifton and Hackensack, which is very convenient. My favorite instructor is Rafael. He is an excellent teacher—very patient, clear with instructions, and always attentive to proper form. He takes the time to make sure everyone understands the movements and offers modifications when needed, which makes the classes feel safe and supportive.

They genuinely care for you and want to make sure that you feel safe, comfortable and understand the workouts you’re doing. They never hesitate to guide you or help you perfect the exercise. This place is always clean and everyone is always super friendly!
