⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars really aren't enough for Dr. Nidha Nathani and Mayra.
I don't normally write reviews this long, but when you have an experience this good, I think it's worth sharing the whole story.
My appointment with Dr. Nidha Nathani was at 11:20 AM. I arrived on time, and 11:20 actually meant 11:20.
That may sound like a small thing, but anyone who regularly goes to doctors knows exactly what I mean. If we're late for an appointment, understandably, they don't like it. But at so many places, you arrive on time and then you're expected to sit for 30 or 45 minutes. We're expected to value their time, but somehow our time isn't always treated the same way.
That was absolutely not the case here.
Dr. Nathani personally walked me into the examination room, and from there everything was handled very systematically and professionally.
I believe the appointment was designed for around 20–25 minutes, and what impressed me was how well that time was used. She went through the necessary tests properly, explained what she was checking and gave me plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
One of the most interesting parts was the imaging of the back of my eye. Instead of simply taking the images and moving on, Dr. Nathani showed them to me and explained what we were actually looking at, including the retina, optic nerve area and the blood vessels visible inside the eye.
I found that fascinating.
She didn't just tell me the result. She helped me understand what she was seeing and why it mattered.
We also had a very useful conversation about my age, lifestyle, computer usage and work environment. I spend a considerable amount of time looking at screens, so we discussed workspace/computer glasses and what might make sense for the way I actually work.
That's what I appreciated about Dr. Nathani. It wasn't just, "Read this line, here's your prescription, goodbye."
The appointment felt like an actual conversation about my eyesight and eye health.
She is extremely friendly and approachable, but at the same time came across as very knowledgeable and medically thorough. Everything had a purpose, everything was explained, and nothing felt rushed.
Then I walked out of the examination room and met Mayra, and the second half of the experience was just as impressive.
Initially, we couldn't locate my insurance information in their system. This is usually the point where many offices simply tell you to call your insurance company and figure it out yourself.
Mayra didn't do that.
She kept working through it, navigating the system and checking the information until she finally found my coverage.
After that, she sat with me and helped me go through the different options for frames and lenses. She explained the choices, answered my questions and helped me understand what made sense without making the process feel like a rushed sales transaction.
Looking back, that's probably the best way to describe my entire experience:
They respected my time, but they didn't rush their time with me.
That's a big difference.
From walking in for my 11:20 appointment, to the examination and imaging with Dr. Nathani, to sorting out the insurance and eyewear options with Mayra, the entire visit felt organized, professional and genuinely patient-focused.
I've been to many places where you're either waiting forever or being rushed once someone finally sees you. This experience showed that it doesn't have to work that way.
Unfortunately, Google only allows five stars.
If there were 10, I'd give 10. If there were 100, I'd give 100. If there were an infinite-star option, I'd probably choose that. 😊
I would personally and confidently recommend Dr. Nidha Nathani to anyone looking for an eye doctor who is knowledgeable, patient, friendly and willing to actually explain your eye health to you.
And a special thank-you to Mayra for her patience and persistence with the insurance and for making the eyewear process so easy.
An exceptional experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
