- SNSlater NelsonSep 15, 20261.0Believe the low reviews, especially the ones mentioning racism. This is what I experienced firsthand: There was a weird vibe from the moment I walked in. The doctor was short with me and avoided eye contact. He only loosened up once he learned that I was educated and where I went to school. Once he knew that, his entire demeanor changed. Compared to the front desk guy, he was charming. The front desk guy who collects payment was rude in person. He made a weird joke about how much money I owed him, and when I asked for a receipt, it took him over 10 minutes to produce one. He kept looking up at me like he was waiting for me to say forget it and leave. But I didn't. I waited and I could tell he hated every minute of it. I called a few weeks later with a question about my prescription, and he was even worse over the phone. He told me it wasn't his job, said I was being difficult and not listening, and talked over me the entire time. When I asked to speak with the doctor or leave a message for him, he dismissed me. His last words before hanging up on me were, "Good luck." Then a dial tone. There are multiple reviews describing this same kind of treatment. One person said they might as well have a sign that says "whites only." In retrospect, I also noticed that the interactions between staff and everyone else being seen that day were very pleasant. I was the only non-white person there. Never again. I'm glad I know to cross them off the list of places to do business with.
