The exam went great, doctor was down to earth and explained to me instead of just handing me a piece of paper. Sales people helped me find the frames I liked and went over my options with my insurance. Overall a pleasant experience

*Update: I received a call from Karen in the billing department early this morning. Not only did she apologize for my poor experience but she was able to refund the difference I should have saved with my insurance. I won't lie, I'm not a huge fan of lensecrafters (due to their crazy prices) or that receptionist that was nothing less than rude... but I've been going to Dr Fusco's practice for around a decade and I wont let one bad experience ruin it. I'm incredibly thankful Karen reached out to me and 'nearly' everyone that works here is an absolute angel and a pleasure of a person.*
the Doctor I saw today. He was wonderful and helped me with my new contacts. I had a terrible time with the person working the front desk. She was incredibly rude not only when I called to booked the appointment but also once I met her in person. I provided my insurance information and she told me she never heard of it and they didn't accept it. I called my insurance before the visit and they told me that they did. When I arrived and told her that she told me that they didn't. I asked her to check because of this and she, very rudely, told me it wasn't up to her and it was the billing departments responsibility. I asked her if they could attempt to run the billing through my insurance and if it was declined to mail me the bill. Again, very rudely, she responded, "we already checked your insurance and this is the cost. I can scan your cards if you want." I eargerly agreed because none of this made sense. She took my cards and scanned them to the file and I paid. Again the exam with the doctor was great and he was very kind and I had a lovely experience in his care. Dealing with the front desk associate was literally the complete opposite. She was rude and dismissive the entire time. She acted like me being a patient was an offense to her existence. After the exam the associate on the lense crafters side told me they do take my insurance. I went back over to the receptionist for the office side and asked if they took VSP (I had been calling it Altus VSP because that's what it says on my combined Dental/eye card). She looked at me annoyed and said that they did take VSP. I told her that I had handed her my card and that she scanned it, why was this happening? She, again, told me she didnt know and it was a problem for the billing department. She treated me like trash and didn't even offer a fake apology. I asked her what could be done. Again, "this is for the billing department. Want me to make a note on your account?" I responded, "yes please!" And I was kind, but at this point I wanted to ask her why she even works there if she wants to purposely treat customers like they're garbage and not even pretend to care. $145 may not seem like a lot to her or something, I have no idea. I'm beyond disgusted with her entire attitude and I considered not returning to this location. I've been seeing Dr Fusco for around a decade and today I saw Dr Lopez. Both are amazing, kind and lovely people. I really just don't understand what today was all about. I am hoping to receive a call from the billing department within the week or I definitely will not be returning to this location.

This appointment was a follow up from last year. Dr. Fusco identified a cataract in my right eye. He referred me to a specialist to get it removed. My eyesight is considerably better. Upon arrival I was in processed immediately. I was taken to do my pre screen and the to my eye exam. I was given my prescription for new eyeglasses. I selected the frames and ordered the lenses. It took less than an hour! All personnel were courteous and professional!
