Heartland Counseling Services, Inc. was founded 40 years ago by Dr. Stanley Reiss. Since then, HCS has provided mental health and substance abuse services to anyone regardless their ability to pay for services in 15 counties in northern Nebraska, as well as, Siouxland. Services include outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient therapy, day rehabilitation, crisis response teams, community support programs, prevention classes, school based mental health counseling, and DUI classes. HCS has two offices that are in South Sioux City and O'Neill.
