- ASAaron Von SeggernAug 23, 20261.0**Extremely predatory sales tactics in violation of federal consumer law** I had an eye exam at this location and faced an incredibly aggressive, misleading sales pitch. The salesperson actively lied to me, claiming that online retailers like Zenni were going out of business to scare me into a purchase. They immediately pushed $260 designer frames without explaining any lens costs, and used gimmicks like a prize wheel to create a false sense of a "deal." The strangest part of the interaction was the associate, unprompted, boasting, "Man, I love being so good at my job." Worse, when I successfully resisted the high-pressure sales environment and walked out to get my personal pair that I'd forgotten, the clinic failed to provide me with a copy of my prescription. Under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Eyeglass Rule, eye care providers are legally required to hand patients their prescription immediately upon completion of an exam--regardless of whether they buy frames, ask for the prescription, or whether or not they intend to return. Looking at other reviews, it is clear that withholding prescriptions and using deceptive sales tactics to force frame purchases is a recurring pattern at this location. I have contacted Pearle Vision corporate pending the filing of an official complaint with the FTC and the Nebraska state licensing board, as at least one other customer has mentioned the same. Avoid this location unless you want your medical records held hostage for a retail upsell. Will there be a substantive reply to this other than, "Thank you for the honest review. We apologize for any issues with your order and we will pass along your review to upper management for further assessment and potential action" or "Thank you for the honest review, we appreciate the feedback. We apologize that your visit was not up to our standards"? Please tell others how you plan to prevent breaking the law again in the future.

This has been my first time getting glasses this year and they’ve been so helpful. Callie will even help me pick out pairs and find things that fit my face shape. They’re very kind and helpful and the orders come in very quickly. Waiting on my new pair of glasses to come in this week and I’m so excited. :)
