My first time using Panneton Dental Group and I was not disappointed. I experienced friendly team members and very professional environment. Dr. Panneton was thorough in explaining his analysis and recommendations, he's very knowledgeable, and I left my first appointment knowing I made the right decision to change dentists. I highly recommend this dental healthcare team!

Once arriving at the dentist office the atmosphere to me was stress free. I always get nervous going to the dentist office but not at this dentist office. Again the atmosphere was serene and calming.

WARNING: Dishonest Billing Practices and Broken Promises
I am writing this review to caution anyone considering Panneton Dental Group in Omaha. While their clinical staff might seem friendly, their administrative and billing practices are completely deceptive, unprofessional, and predatory.
Approximately 7 years ago, I lost my left front incisor due to a jaw infection. It never bothered me, but at my family's request, I decided to look into options. Late last year, I was informed that Panneton Dental Group was hosting a training seminar where dentists would surgically install an implant base and eventually place a color-matched crown.
Because I don't believe anything in life is truly "free," I was hyper-vigilant about costs from day one. Every single time I left the office during this six-month process, I met with the billing specialist. I provided my insurance card and explicitly stated that I wanted to know all out-of-pocket costs upfront before proceeding. I was repeatedly assured that the surgery carried no upfront cost, and that after insurance, my out-of-pocket expense for the final implant would be minimal.
Even when I returned months later after healing to get scanned for the final implant, I double-checked. I asked them to verify that my insurance had been run and that the original quoted price was still accurate.
They confirmed it was.
The day of the procedure went smoothly, and I thought everything was handled. However, right as I was about to finish paying off the original amount I was quoted, I received a phone call. I was told that due to an insurance clause, my implant would not be covered, and I now owed them an additional $1,800.
When I confrontationally pointed out that I had asked multiple times over a six-month period and had been repeatedly assured the price was accurate, I was met with a cold, uncaring, "almost-apology" and an immediate offer to set up a payment plan.
I did not need this procedure done. I agreed to it for vanity’s sake to please my family, under the strict condition of the price they quoted me. To bait-and-switch a patient for nearly two thousand dollars after six months of verbal confirmation is an egregious way to run a business.
Do not trust their billing department. Get every single word, estimate, and insurance confirmation in writing, or better yet, find a dental practice that operates with actual integrity.

Will my insurance cover dental implants?
Many dental insurance providers will cover all or some of your dental implant treatment. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to find out the details of your coverage. If you’re still worried about the expense, ask your implant provider if their office has financing options available. Don’t delay your dream smile goals any further!
How long do cosmetic dentistry results last?
With proper oral care, results can last from five years for whitening to over 15 years for veneers and crowns. Avoiding smoking, coffee, tea, and red wine helps prolong results. You should schedule regular dental cleanings and checkups with your dentist to keep your smile looking its best.
Am I a good candidate for teeth whitening?
If you’re noticing discoloration or stains on your teeth, you may be a candidate for professional teeth whitening. During your initial consultation with your cosmetic dentist, they’ll check if any oral health issues need to be addressed before you undergo treatment. Patients who practice good oral hygiene habits and don’t have extensive dental damage should be eligible.
Are cosmetic dentistry services purely aesthetic?
While many cosmetic dentistry services are purely aesthetic, certain services offer restorative benefits as well. Services such as composite fillings and Invisalign can enhance, protect, and improve your oral health.
Will my dental insurance cover cosmetic dentistry treatments?
Cosmetic dentistry isn’t usually covered by insurance unless deemed restorative and necessary for the patient’s oral health. We recommend speaking to your insurance provider beforehand to learn more about your policy and coverage.
Is getting a dental crown a painful procedure?
Getting a dental crown is typically not painful as it’s performed under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. You may experience some sensitivity or discomfort after the procedure, but this is usually temporary and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
How long do dental crowns last?
The lifespan of a dental crown can vary depending on various factors, including oral hygiene practices, regular dental check-ups, and the quality of the crown material. With proper care and maintenance, dental crowns can last, on average, between 10 to 15 years or even longer.
Can a dental crown fall off?
While it’s rare, a dental crown can occasionally come loose or fall off. If this happens, contact your dentist immediately. They can determine the best course of action to reattach or replace the crown to ensure the continued protection and functionality of your tooth.
