Ramie Uren and the front desk staff are amazing. The front desk staff are welcoming, warm, helpful when scheduling appointments and so friendly. Thank you Associated Counseling Professionals for the wonderful care!

Very poor communication, you're just another number, front desk ladies are snowflakes (don't raise your voice) ABSOLUTELY DONT GO HERE *your time will be rushed* They will say I was "mean" to the front staff but they canceled my appointments upon learning of this I asked for a refund for the remaining funds on the account. Katie refused and hung up. I drove 30 mins outta my way to get told I have to wait for the next day. Katie and the other front lady made me to look like the bad guy instead of telling what really happened. If an owner could email me or give me a call it'd be greatly appreciated.

The counseling sessions were alright. I had something come up and couldn't make it one week and called the day before my appointment to reschedule. There's a $50 cancellation fee if you cancel within 24 hours (they send a reminder, but it's less than 24 hours before your appointment). I called and was told only the provider could remove cancellation fees. So I left a message for him but never heard back. In the end I just called back and paid it. It's just $50 and I get that it's their policy, but it just seems unnecessarily rigid. Especially if you've never missed a session and called the day before. Sometimes something just comes up. UPDATE: As they were able to remove the late fee I have updated my review to only reflect the counseling sessions. To add a little more detail, one counselor and I just didn't click, but Terry was very helpful. He helped me get the motivation to find a new job.

Frequently Asked Questions About Associated Counseling Professionals

How long is each session?

Our standard sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes. While sessions may occasionally extend slightly beyond this time, we maintain intervals between appointments to update client records, return calls, and prepare for subsequent sessions. This scheduling structure ensures we remain on schedule throughout the day. Some of our clinicians work with 45-minute sessions, while others structure their appointments around 50 minutes. Extended sessions are available at a different billing rate. Please discuss session length preferences with your therapist.

Do I need a referral before being seen at ACP?

In most cases, a referral is not required. If you're seeking personal growth or therapeutic support, we welcome the opportunity to work with you through the changes you'd like to make. However, if you're currently receiving therapy elsewhere, we recommend discussing your situation with your existing therapist first. This conversation can help determine whether continuing with your current provider, transitioning to our practice, or pursuing adjunctive services such as hypnosis or EMDR while maintaining your primary therapeutic relationship is the best approach. Additionally, please be aware that certain insurance carriers require prior authorization for services before or within 24 hours of your first appointment. Our staff will assist you with this process, though we encourage you to familiarize yourself with your coverage details to avoid unexpected costs.
